Just received an email from princess stating our Norway cruise August 2021 would now be on the Regal instead of the Grand. No more info will be available until July 23rd. Keeping my fingers crossed we get our same cabin.

There is a similar balcony, different number on the Regal. We love the

Regal except the side balconies are not very deep. But we usually book

a nice aft anyway. Anyway, Princess yanked the Regal from us and is

putting it i Europe next year. We were to sail on her April 9, 2021 for

a Transpacific. It was such a nice itinerary home to Washington State.

Hi Vino,  We were on the Grand in November 2019 in cabin D736 and loved it.  I hope your cabin on the Regal is just as good!

it looks like D736 on the Regal will be similar to the Grand. Sure hope so.

We got the notice too. I am bummed as I hate having tiny balconies and lack of promenade deck on the Regal---though I haven't been on her yet so I will keep an open mind. I was pretty surprised that that big a ship could go to those tiny towns way up by the Arctic circle?  Seems like that many people could overwhelm those towns...

Also, I'm wondering if this means the Grand is on the way out?

Official announcement shows where the Garnd will be:

Princess Cruises Announces Deployment Changes in Alaska and Europe for Summer 2021

New Summer Homeport Sailings from Los Angeles

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (July 8, 2020) – Princess Cruises announced today changes to its deployment in Alaska and Europe for summer 2021 with Majestic Princess arriving to the West Coast and setting sail for her inaugural Alaska season, and Regal Princess returning to Europe.
In 2021, guests will be able to experience Majestic Princess for the first time in Alaska. She will be deployed to Alaska replacing Regal Princess, picking up all Regal Princess published Seattle Inside Passage departures from May to September, except Regal Princess May 4, 2021 departure of a five-day Alaska Sampler which will be cancelled.

Regal Princess will sail from Southampton, England replacing Grand Princess for summer 2021. Regal Princess will sail on 17 roundtrip departures from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Norway, Scandinavia, Iceland and other popular destinations in Europe. As a result of this change, the Regal Princess South Pacific Crossing, and two Grand Princess seven-day Europe cruises will be cancelled.

Grand Princess will be deployed to the West Coast for a new summer Mexico and California Coast season departing from Los Angeles with details to be announced later this summer.

Guests booked on Regal Princess Alaska and Grand Princess Europe voyages will have their booking automatically moved from Regal Princess to Majestic Princess in Alaska, and from Grand Princess to Regal Princess in Europe, and will receive a new booking confirmation.

I am on Grand from Singapore to Rome, March 23-April 20, 2021, and it looks like this cruise is right on the cusp of the change.  Currently, this sailing will still be on the Grand, but as the details emerge it could get moved to the Regal. No worries though, I'm okay with either.
