Thank you.  Did they mention if Enchanted will sail from Europe to FL empty?  Or, do they intend to keep it in Europe?  Any information you can provide is appreciated.

The only discussion re Enchanted inferred was that she would start sailing in November in the Caribbean as scheduled (unless they extend the fleetwide "pause" again).  I would assume this means a "deadhead" (sail empty) from the shipyard to FT Lauderdale. as Princess has cancelled all 2020 Europe and Transatlantic sailings.

Enchanted is scheduled to be in the Caribbean doing alternating 7nt Eastern/Western sailings from late November 2020 until the beginning of April 2021 at which time she sails a Transatlantic from Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona for a summer/fall 2021 Mediterranean season.  The Caribbean Fall 2021- Spring 2022 itineraries go on sale on 7/22 and Enchanted will be doing 10 night Southern Caribbean sailings from Ft. Lauderdale.  This means she will have a fall Transatlantic sailing from Barcelona to Ft. Lauderdale as originally intended and NOT sail to Asia after all.

Thank you!  This is very helpful.  We are booked on the April TA.

Any mention of when the next round of cancellations will be ( last time I checked there were still August & September cruises for sale  )

Not one word said or question asked about future cancellations.

Tomorrow there is a CCL Corp stock analysts conference call. I suspect the subject may come up there.

Carnival Cruise lines did cancel some additional cruises two days ago (https://www.carnivalcorp.com/news-releases/news-release-details/carnival-cruise-line-sets-ship-delivery-changes-and-related).

They also talked about the new website for travel agents.  Which now means that those of us who aren't travel agents can no longer access the details for newly released itineraries or upcoming promotional sales.  Boo!

With regard to the Antarctica cruises, was their any mention of the status of Princess ships with regard to the Polar Code regulations.

None.  I am assuming they will only be allowed as far south as 60 degrees since they will not have the ice rating to go any further than that.  The same would hold true for Holland America and Celebrity when they sail to Antarctica.

The Coral should be okay for January 2021 but the Sapphire could be iffy.   When was the Sapphire last dry docked?

Well - if the Sapphire did not have the appropriate rating to go via the intended routing then I doubt they would have scheduled her.  The new regs have been known for some time.  The big change is that large ships like Coral and Sapphire will not have their ice ratings renewed to be able to go further south than 60 degrees, so the itinerary going forward will just barely hit the tip of Antarctica.  There has been extensive conversation on the HAL boards about this very issue - look for posts in the below thread by chengkp75 - he's the resident maritme expert on the HAL boards and REALLY knows his stuff.  He gives a LOT of technical details that I wouldn't feign to be able to go into for you

Thank you Caribill. Was there any mention on the next release date for Australia/New Zealand for 2021-2022? Seems to be very slow releasing these cruises, to be expected, I guess. Vicki. 🤷‍♀️😊

Yes, I have been following the  HAL board.   We are books on the Coral and Sapphire trips with our grandkids.   Taking them to see the continent where we worked many

years ago.

Thank you for giving us this update, Caribill.

We did receive an email from Princess telling us about  this, and that since we had a California Coastal Cruise cancelled in 2020, we can book another for next season and receive the $200 OBC.  For us, it's not worth it at this time to pay another deposit while still waiting for FCC from a cancelled 2020 cruise.

Supposedly you can make a booking and have a delayed date for the deposit so that the FCC can be used for that purpose.

Based on comments in other threads, many agents at Princess do not realize this, but there also have been comments by people who said it was no a problem to do this.

Is the 7/22 Caribbean opening for elite or general bookings?

They did not say.

If I had to guess, I would think it would be for general. The slide simply said "On sale July 22."

From what I heard elsewhere, Elite booking is on July 21 and these cruises will be on sale to everyone on the 22nd.

I’m assuming that what you heard was only for TA & not the general public. Any mention about November 2020 cruises from the West Coast?

Thanks!

Nothing mentioned about cruises for 2020. Just what is available starting September 2021.
