What is DW and DH?

You may also sometimes see DD, DS, DSil, DBil, etc where the S means either son or sister

Maybe because if they actually do play major league baseball this year, the DH will be used in the NL as well as the AL, so it has been in the news.

 

I always read the D as darling, but see dear as an acceptable alternative.
