Its no wonder that Carnival has to keep a whole lot of lawyers. Anybody will sue over anything.

True, this case had a lot of meaning and importance for the industry.

I remember hearing about this when it first started. I wondered then if the Cuban Government seized the land(port water whatever you want to call it) how are they suing a company for using the area that the government is allowing. I could be wrong but I seriously doubt Carnival knew that this guy lost his land in the 60's...

It's good to see that a judge agrees that Carnival is not liable for Cuba taking one of their citizen's property.

But it is unfortunate some lawyer could think that they could make a case for Carnival to be liable for Cuba having taken the property.

If he doesn't,  he is being negligent.  Did you go to law school?

I was just making a statement.  Even though it seems like only the alleged negligent party would be on the lawsuit, that is not always the case.  It's up to the innocent people to get themselves removed and deal with it.

Attorneys are looking for a Payday they don't care where it comes from.

But if they work on a contingency, there is no payday unless they win. They have to get "suckers" who will believe them that it is winnable but they won't work on a contingency otherwise.
