Ocean Boy Posted January 27, 2021 #1754 Share Posted January 27, 2021 Another reason to require 100% vaccination with no exceptions is I think the Caribbean islands might be more likely to accept ships that have the requirement. If any group on the ship is exempted for whatever reason then the ship could possibly not be allowed entry. If this turns out to be the case then I think the cruise lines would not have many second thoughts about adopting the requirement. And the islands taking this stance could provide a safe way to get their economies opened up again. Once again, I think vaccination requirement is going to be the key to getting cruising back to the experience that we all know without a highly restrictive environment. 5

It's not just about hanging out on the ship, it's about safely visiting the different destinations and not spreading the virus. I've commented before, that I think they should have a vaccine as a requirement to get on a cruise ship....and we are ones that will have to wait even longer due to being in the last group for the vaccine, plus we have one child who is only turning 12 this year (so she can't get the vaccine yet). Need to be patient and do everything to stop the spread. Edited January 27, 2021 by LuCruise

Theoretically, a plastic mask is the ultimate protector; but, unfortunately, it comes with consequence of likely death by asphyxiation. On the bright side, it won't be a Covid cruise ship outbreak or a Covid cruise ship death. 😲

Rare xpcdoojk Posted January 28, 2021 #1768 Share Posted January 28, 2021 Yes, but, I am a humorless maroon. I am unfortunately stuck in the half world of reality and *****... It seems the latter is winning most days, which makes me very sad, and sans humor... which is really just memes and bad hair days. Which I have everyday now, as I haven’t had a hair cut since February last.... I am showing my leadership skills of not doing those things we all took for granted pre covid.... I walked in this morning after driving to work in the snow about feet from my parking spot to the office, when I realized, I didn’t put my stupid mask on as it was in the Jeep... so I turned around and got my face diaper, and walked in.... as if I saved the world. We are so screwed.... JMHO and YMMV 2
