Ships moving ahead of Isaias

They're on the move.  Path of Isaias is back east, across the ship parking lots.  Many ships are underway this morning... very few blue dots showing "at anchor".

They are heading SW toward the Keys so they can stay ahead of it even if the storm shifts west again.

Forecast is for gradual strengthening, staying tropical storm strength, but getting close to Cat 1 hurricane.  Big test coming when it crosses Hispaniola as we see if the mountains tear it up at all.

Only 1 cruise ship (bigger blues) still at anchor - Carnival Vista. However Vista's position is 2 1/2 hours ago so it could be underway and not reporting position.  Celebrity Silhouette leads the parade lower left.  Dark colors mean position is recently received via land-based AIS signals. Light colors mean their signal not received or recorded so it's a last reported position. To the NW of the lightr blue dot that is Vista are Carnival Elation (light blue) and Horizon (dark blue.) This is what you get with free access. Sometimes I pay for satellite position, and navigation maps, for one ship, when I have a cruise coming up.  Then I get that's ship's position anywhere.  One nice thing is even in the free version you can create a login and add up to 6 ships to your own "fleet" to find them quickly.

Anyone wonder why the 3 ships are moving east instead of down? Norwegian Sky, Gem and Seven Seas Explorer.

Just checked ... Cruisemapper is saying that Sky's and Gem's destination is Curacao .... mmmm .... interesting ...

Very interesting if both ships end up in Curacao.      Why now?

You can see Dawn running north before she turns east. Norwegian Epic also right behind with Gibraltar as destination.  Mariner OTS and Grandeur OTS finally turned south to follow the parade (late!)  Carnival Sunrise and Norwegian Pearl are now bringing up the read on the big ships... also late IMHO.  Other smaller blues are regional ferries and small line cruise ships.

Just now:

Spirit heading to Gibraltar, and both Bliss and Encore to Malmo Sweden!

Dawn & Epic (as mentioned by @Pelican Bill) also heading to Gibraltar, and Pearl & Sun are heading to Curacao as are Sky and Gem.

Middle of summer transatlantic - wish we were on one ... !!

Now only 2 NCL ships remaining in USA: Jewel in LA and Pride of America in Hawaii.

Soooo weird to see the Port of Miami so... quiet...

Port of Miami is in condition Zulu - closed to arrivals and departures.

Port Canaveral is in Condition Yankee - closed to arrivals, all able vessels to leave port immediately. Zulu soon.

All the blue passenger ships are well away now. Except that one bright blue - Grand Celebration. What the heck you doin' ?

The faded blue is a position from Carnival Horizon 21 hours ago so it's well away also.
