Sailing May 2021 out of New Orleans La ( Hotel? )

Wife and i are sailing out of New Orleans on May 9th 2021. Setting up Hotel as we are flying in day before sailing. Looking to see if anyone has a recommendation. Looking at the 

Residence Inn New Orleans Downtown

345 St. Joseph Street New Orleans, Louisiana 70130

Price is right and can get the shuttle from the hotel to the cruise terminal. Have not booked yet looking for idea's.  We will go down to Bourbon to see what it's all about but not looking to make a night of it. Just like the easy comfort of non rushed boarding day.

That's a good cruise hotel area. You probably want to take a uber/lyft/taxi to Bourbon from there. It would be about a 12 block walk. Or it's a couple blocks to the Julia Streetcar stop but I'm not sure if it's back running again. I would think it would be by May. There are a lot of restaurants right  around your hotel. You're actually like a block from Emeril's. It doesn't sound like you have much time for sightseeing but that's close to the National WWII museum which is fabulous.

you might check out The Hubbard Mansion Bed & Breakfast on St Charles Avenue right on the Trolley Line which is a different way to get to the Pier
