Queen Mary Hotel

So, can anybody in the LGB share any info regarding the Queen Mary Hotel?

I hear she's in trouble and barely hanging on. Should I be making back up plans in the hopes of sailing next April?

The City of Long Beach has taken back ownership and operation of the ship.  The city, my home town, has sunk hundreds of millions into this ship.  May be open, may not be open.  Hard to tell based on the articles in our local newspaper.

 

If you make reservations, be prepared for small cruise ship rooms and don't prepay anything.

Looks like the hotel is still closed.  The website (http://queenmary.com/) is not connecting.

We're interested in this too, mainly because we've been watching how it's haunted and my kids think it would be cool to stay in something haunted.  We're cruising in June 2022....  please continue to post any updates!!

 

We're up by Sacramento and we never hear anything about that area.

If the QM is operating they would love the haunted tours and below decks tours.  We live in Stockton and have done the haunted underground night tour of Old Sacramento.  They might enjoy that also.  There's also a haunted hotel room in Monterey.  I can't recall the hotel but it's well know.
