Where has the time gone when everything's gone so slow

We want the it to be normal again..virus take a train and blow  (to hell)

I know this time has made it harder to lose weight

But many of you have done well and got it straight

Losing weight it is our goal and we try with all our might (most of the time)

Not gaining at this time is win I think....right

Even gaining a little bit is half way good

Least we don't have the Covid 15 lb gain by eating to much food

I think over this 5 months of our weigh ins have be going well

Maybe not losing as much as we wanted but not gaining much is good to tell

So we coming in here each week is the best thing we can do to keep us on track

Make us think before eating those huge pancakes in a big stack (with butter, syrup and, whatever)

So wake up...bathroom...scale...coffee or tea... then computer...then here

Hope you get off the scale with a smile and not a tear

S...Smile
C...Cry
A...Ate less or a lot...It Shows
L...Love it
E...Exercise helps

N...New number today
U...Underweight..Don't we wish at times
M...Me/you...Most times deserve what it said
B...Belly...Shrink
E...Eating less and exercise...makes the numbers go down
R...Really... I weigh that?
S...Scale is our friend...Yeah right!

Hi all,

Pacruise, sorry you're up. You've had a stressful week though - I'm sure sure your body is in panic mode and next week will be better. Yay for clothes that fit better!

Diana, congrats on being your lowest in a few years!

I'm down .1 from last week, and I am thrilled with that because we binged every meal all weekend. Yesterday was arms which was a good break. My legs are still sore, but at least I'm able to go up the stairs at a normal pace this morning. Today is Pilates, and my DD said she would try this one with me.

Good Morning - Thanks for the poem Belle!

Pac - sorry you gained but nice that clothes are fitting better

Diana - wow lowest in 6 years amazing (especially during these times)

Melmar - congrats on the loss - any loss is good!

I was hoping I was going to be down ... as I did give up dessert a few times!  I am the same this week and I will take it - I'm happy with it.

Ok ... my whining time ... today I was to be in Boston with all my family - exploring the North End and walking the Freedom Trail - staying in a nice hotel and having good food and drink --- tomorrow was to be our first day on a Bermuda cruise ... I was so excited!!!  Now some of my family is going off to explore Maine this weekend and we get one sons dog for the week.   (dog sitting or Bermuda - difficult choice!)

Hope everyone has a wonderful week.  Next Tuesday will be my 47th anniversary ... Life is good.   Jan

Hi all!

Belle ~ thanks for starting the thread & those words of wisdom.

Jan ~ too bad your family cruise was cancelled. Can you reschedule for next year?

Happy anniversary & may you have many more happy, healthy ones.🍾

DIana ~ wow, that's great being the lowest you've been in 6 years, Congrats on that!!

Melmar02 & pacruise804 ~ at least you're both seeing some good results, & trying.

I'm a  little disappointed as although I'm down 0.6 lbs to 171, when I weighed myself Tuesday I was 169.6. I didn't buy the big bag of the chips I like, just a little bag to go with my lobster roll which I didn't eat any of the bread part. Being in the 160's would make me feel better about getting to 150 at some point.

Oh well, it is what it is & there's always next week.

Have a good one & stay safe.

~ Jo ~ 😊

Belle, love your inspirational posts

Pac - clothes can be a great barometer.  Sounds like your BFA is going down even if the BMI is staying the same.

Diana, I'm in SF East Bay (more Delta) and we're stuck inside this week with high Temps too through next weekend. But 100°+ doesn't seem so bad when humidity is low.

Jan, have fun with your little visitor

Jo, close!!

I'm still struggling through quarantine gain but I think I'm making progress. No scale but down 1". Skirts and 'that' dress don't fit but I do have 1 I can wear to services tomorrow night.

Nice to see you all here today, know more still to come. Thanks about the poems.

Pac...Your gain could be from your exercise. They say the muscles hold water. Sure it will come off soon.

Plus you see a good difference in your body.

Diana...Being at your lowest point..Congrats. Staying the same is good..no gain. Stay cool in your AC this week.

Mel...A loss is a loss especially eating out a lot and great job on the exercises.

Jan...Sorry didn't have a loss when you thought you had one. Also very sorry your not on your cruise.

We can't wait to go and then this virus shows it's ugly head. Hear you..dog or Bermuda?  Easy answer.

Jo...Glad you had a loss but disappointing when expecting lower. Was does our weight go up and down each day?

Ombud...You are making progress you loss an inch you can tell it's working without the scale. Congrats. You

stay cool too.

On fact everyone stay cool think most are  having hot weather coming.

Me..I to thought I would have a loss today but stayed the same. Always happy not to have a gain.

I did something yesterday, no not exercising.....booked more cruises!

The Casino keeps sending me free cruises (ok free rooms) I pay the rest but still comes out way cheaper.

And I keep booking them. Daughter pays her share.  Am I CRAZY or just LOVE CRUISING?

I booked cruises to Europe with my daughter for next year. (remember suppose to be there now with daughter)

Upgraded for little money and got a balcony. Same room all cruises. This year was for 14 days, new one 21 days,

Hate to say how many cruises I have booked, Now will I be able to take them all? Will the cruise lines sail?

Will the ports be open? Sure hope so. Time will tell..there not till next year.

Everyone have a good Friday, Stay cool and safe,

Checking in to see how everyone did this week.

Mel, great you had a loss while enjoying some goodies. Great on the exercising.

Jan, staying the same is ok. So sorry you couldn't take your family trip. BUT, you and hubby are healthy, most important. Have fun with the dog...

Jo, you're down some, great.

Ombud, congrats on 1" lost. My sister is in Brentwoodin the East bay and yes, everyone is roasting in the Bay Area.

Belle, ok to stay the same. Glad you have booked more cruises. It's nice to dream, plan, research things to do. I really miss the researching places and planning things to do.

Hubby was looking at some transatlantics next Spring but right now we're just looking.

Hubby and I were busy today grocery shopping, cleaning house.

Have a nice evening, Diana

Diana.. glad you had time with your husband even if it was chores.

Only reason I booked the cruises because cabins free. Always have a choice to go or not

but really up to the cruise line and ports. Can get my money back either way. Just hope

they don't cancel Europe, daughter looking forward to going she's only been to France other

countries new to her.

Did you see MSC and Costa starting cruising in Italy for people living there in Sept. Will see what happens.

I just want cruising to be good and safe  starting in 2021 for everyone.

Our 25th anniversary cruise was canceled by Viking (expected it, but still bummed).  Will start researching today if AI's are an option or looking at a smaller get away maybe in the Finger Lakes.  Really want to celebrate the milestone, but don't want to force something that's not meant to be.

Hi Everyone, sorry, I'm a day late. I did weigh in yesterday but never got a chance to get on here and post. I'm back down the .6 I gained last week so that was nice. Been watching my diet and exercise consistently since last weekend.

Catching up on all your posts from last week and this one. Nothing new really to report from me - my dad is still improving - got tested this week but no results yet. And I officially lost my job on Wednesday. We all knew it was coming - most mainstream travel is not coming back in any capacity any time soon, and as a result, my company closed up Canadian operations. Oh well,  I'm sure something better will come along evenutally. Until then, I'm chained to my sewing machine, making masks!

Congrats to those who lost and stayed the same. Those who gained, keep at it and you will succeed.

Have a great weekend!

Sorry to hear! I know we will be spending our 25th at our lake house. Not the grand getaway I had hoped for but at least it's something. Good luck with your searching!

Hello Everyone.

Pac..Sorry you cruise for your 25th Anniversary was cancelled. Yes you have to do something!

What date is your 25th?

Diana..Very pretty picture. I knew your were pretty on the outside as you are on the inside.

But some reason I thought you had short curly hair, don't know why.

Robin..Glad your father is improving and you lost weight but very sorry you lost your job. When

is your 25th?

Not doing to much here. Daughter came over for a few hours had lunch outside. Under umbrella in

the shade but was getting way to hot. Then saw was 97. Yes a little less in the shade. Talked about

the cruises we hope we get to take. See what next year brings.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and staying cool.  No AC here but sitting by a fan.

Take care

Belle, haha, I've never had short, curly hair. Thanks for the compliment. Nice you were with your daughter.

97, ugh without AC, we were 110 today. We have to conserve energy but because we have a new house, super energy efficient, we can still be ok with AC set at 76.

Have a good night everyone, Diana

Good Morning this Sunday.   Can't sleep so thought would come on and say Hi.

Suppose to be cooler tomorrow but then be hotter. Sounds like everyone having hot weather.

I say that because isn't Canada getting warmer weather than it usually has at this time.

(or I could be wrong which could happen but rarely because I'm perfect):classic_rolleyes::classic_laugh:

Have a good Sunday Everyone.....but 1st sleep in..you deserve it.  As I write this, just thinking.....

Robin, sorry to hear about your job.

It's supposed to be around 102 here today with a heat index of 112. Ugh!

Getting out to do grocery pick up this afternoon. I have a doctor's appointment in the morning - just a blood pressure check. I think the appointment makes my bp go up with this doctor. He's about 45 minutes away, and his office always runs late (he's head of the OB dept at the attached hospital). I'm there about an hour and a half just for the nurse to take my bp and to see him for about 3 minutes. Then I have to drive 45 minutes home. I can feel it going up just thinking about all that wasted time! I hate to try to find a new doctor that's closer right now though.

I'm not sure what going on with the scale. I'm sticking to the diet and doing the exercise, but aside from my one good day (weigh in day), it's still going up. And my body fat has really jumped up this week. I'm not sure if I've confused my body by re-introducing so many carbs or eating throughout the day instead of intermittent fasting maybe? I'm going to give it the three weeks to see if it's just the change in eating habits or hormones, but it's really disappointing to see those numbers going the wrong way every morning after doing so much work. 😒

Belle, I was up early but not online. I rose my exercise bike. A lot of times I stream things like House Hunters, Beachfront Bargain Hunt. But then sometimes I get sad, I can't be on that beach...boohoo.

We're 110 again today. I was outside around 7:30am picking tomatoes and wow already so hot, so picked a big bowl's worth and came inside.

To combat the heat today I had a rum punch...ahhhhh.

Jan, nice you slept in. Oh, it's nice to have those cute faces to wake you up.

Mel horrible temps. for you. Weird what the scale is doing. Could be your body is confused. Hopefully it stablizes.

Have a nice evening, Diana

Good Afternoon All

Jan... yes I did sleep in. Glad you did too. Funny about the dogs..know they do that. Cute after

the fact.

Mel...Sorry so hot. Will be that foe awhile.  Maybe weight gain is eating different food but still

with eating right. Who knows with our bodies. Also think some of us on weigh in day may

have a gain, water gain because of all the hot weather. You know like swelling in hands and feet. Hope not.

Diana...Sorry you were up early but you were smart and did something good for yourself. I watch HGTV too.

Like you  love the ones about being on or near the water.  Stay cool and yes a rum punch will hit the spot!

Robin...Hope your father better each day and gets his test back soon.

Everyone stay cool and take it easy.  It's Sunday a day of rest.
