Damn hard to plan isn't it. And us here in WA have the added worry that it doesn't look like our border to rest of country will open any time soon.

Princess have progressively scaled back cruise offerings here in the West, from their first years here in 2008 and 2009 when there was a choice to only one Freo back to back cruise in winter 2017 and 2018 and then nothing last year, then had two cancelled this year, betting it will be awhile before winter cruises are seen again in this State.

I would settle now for being able to travel in and out of WA to pick up a cruise in another state! Or indeed to travel anyhow in another state!

We did circumnavigation of oz on Sun Princess from Freo back in 2008, not long after she arrived here from the USA.  She was in good nick back then.

Well it looks like the ??? can be removed Sun and Sea Princess have left the fleet. All cruises that were scheduled have been cancelled. I never sailed on these ships but it looks like they were well loved. The article mentions the possibility that one or both of them have been acquired by "Peace Boat"

There were a few Sun Class ships Lyle, Dawn Princess and Oceana were a couple of others, when built they were supposedly the largest cruise ships in the world, but that was 25 years ago. Yes very popular in the USA and in this Region.

The three Sun Class, Dawn, Sea and Sun moved here from the USA gradually when the Grand Class ships came into service with Princess Cruise Lines, Grand Princess was the first, followed y several of her sister ships.

You can still cruise on the old Dawn Princess, as it has been transferred to P&O Straya. It is now called Pacific Explorer.
