Balcony upgrade charge can fluxuate depending on Where your itinerary is going.

For example, its going to cost more for Balcony upgrade on Alaska, vs. a Calif. Coastal.

You can ask & see if its worth it to you?

I've done several insides, and don't have a problem with 'em, but NOT during covid.

For me personally, if my comp offer Doesn't include PPlus?  I wouldn't pay extra for it.

IF youre booked on a VIP cruise?  YOu will probably get Free drink lanyards to use in casino.

Or if youre a good player?  You will probably get free drinks in the casino anyway.

Good luck with your choice.

Do your offers normally include princess plus?  I have only received one offer for an interior that included princess plus.

I received a postcard in January from Princess players club and set it aside until yesterday. It said book by March 2. I called Princess reservations yesterday and asked if any West coast cruises were still available? Now I have booked a Cabo 5 day cruise on Discovery in April. I will be going solo. $398 balcony, drinks, $150 OBC, and $500 casino freeplay!! This is my first time claiming one of these offers and I hope it won't be my last offer.

Best cruising deals. Leaving Friday for 15 days. 9 sea days for gaming. 3 more booked for the year/ All thru the Casino. Booking time frame is short however great ones fit in well. Ocean to Ocean, Voyage of the glaciers, Greenland and Hawaii (4th. time).

Casino comps are really worth looking into!

I have 2 more not booked yet.... been deciding.

One is book by Mar. 2 & other end of March.

Works out well since I had B2B cruises in Sept/Oct., I planned to cancel.

So can use those funds to book these 2 others.

Enjoy your freebies 😎

I just received an email be on the lookout.  It lists 4 cruises, princess plus, a commemorative gift, and some "packages" you chose from. Doesn't really interest me.

We got the emailed Prestige offer about an hour ago. Very surprised & disappointed that it only lists 4 cruises: Europe, 2 Alaskas, & an New England one. Oh well.

Same here and those cruises don’t really fit our schedule

Ditto.

Were already booked all the time we can this year.

Doesn't seem that Over the top special, unless you have the extra time.

Mine is 500 FP, but I average 1k most of the time.  So theres that....🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

Good luck all.

Hope you'll let us know how your *Prestige* cruise goes for you.

we cruise mostly Princess(500 plus nights) and RCCL (400 plus nights). Since March, neither has had smoking in the Casino....nice. As far as offers and comps, Princess does not come close to RCCL, although we have gotten free cruises and some Free play with Princess. We like that you always know where you stand with RCCL and the host will always look up your points. I cannot beg a host on Princess to tell me where I am point wise , or what I need to get pointwise to start getting some "love"

We always loved Princess, but we just about have decided the our future is with RCCL.

How is RCCL with their billing policies? One thing that enjoy taking advantage of with Princess is the rather generous bill-to-the-room policy, and that you can get 5k+ daily limits if they clear it with corporate.

OK...RCCL does it a lot like land based casinos. They have tiers that give different benefits. When you hit 2500 points you become prime. With Prime you get unlimited free drinks any time the casino bar is open. The next level is Select and that kicks in at 25000 points. With this you get free internet.  These levels are cumulitive and are good until April 1 of each year when they revert to zero. At RCCL you can always ask the host what your points are and they will tell you. Princess refuses to tell you what your points are and what levels they even offer.

Since cruising restarted in August of 2021 we have taken 8 free cruises on RCCL and 2 on Princess.

Oh, when you reach Prime with RCCL you can get cash at the tables and slots with no charge added. Before Prime level you pay 5%.

Good luck

Doug

Ah, good to know. Sounds like getting high enough to avoid the fee is a fairly trivial endeavor, which makes things a lot easier. I should probably prod people to pick up an RCCL and see how it goes. Thanks for the info!

Where do you check for casino offers from Princess?  Thanks in advance.

I get email, physical mailers, and sometimes they slip a letter under my door at the end of a cruise (very end of B2Bs), though the latter tend to be weak since I think they're at the discretion of the host.
