MS Skaubryn - Migrant Vessel

Recommended Posts

  • 2 months later...

Hello Nicholas,

SKAUBRYN had a short „life“. After rebuilding  1951 from a cargoship into a comfort emigrant carrier she traveled only until 1958 when she caught fire on 31. of March 1958 in the Indian Ocean on route to Australia.

The hole story about SKAUBRYN you can read at the SSMARITIME website of Reuben Goosen:

 http://ssmaritime.com/Skaubryn-intro.htm  in five chapters.

Here is the deck plans of the ship when she was under charter 1957 for the Greek Lines North Atlantic service:

Thank you, both, for posting.  Very interesting!  I hope there will be more posts to come.

I was not aware of this vessel's existence.  Interesting, I agree and I hope more information might be shared with us.
