We had a wonderful cabin steward on Adonia, who loved to play a game of ''where's the the wabbit?'' We've found him on the bed, in the bed, lounging on the sofa, peeping out of the wardrobe, watching TV, relaxing with a packet of biscuits and a 'coffee', looking in the mirror 'combing his hair' and once found him sat on the toilet. The best one? In the shower complete with shower cap, shower gel and sponge. That one took a while to find.😆 On the way back to the cabin we used to guess as to where he would be.

Our son used to take a collection of soft toys on our cruises. We had a particularly hairy soft toy sloth that the steward especially liked, and most evenings we'd come back to the cabin to find that it had a new hair do. Side parting, "Tintin" style flick...etc.

On this photo the sloth is going for a Billy Idol look and some of the other toys had their eye on the bedtime treats ("T" for treats can be my tenuous link).

The library on Adonia had a Tiffany ceiling very similar. Beautifful when the sun shone through it

The wonderful memories these threads are evoking. The small things that can easily be forgotten.

I remember so well getting on the ship (it was a 4 night trip in November) settling down with a cocktail, looking up at the stunning glass and just feeling I was home. So sad we didn’t get to go on Oriana again.
