That stop was not on our itinerary. We diverted from another port. I was disappointed until we arrived in Cobh. Beautiful. Wonderful people. Wonderful history and so well preserved. Loved it.

Got that right but then again, I would not expect anything else from you due to your upbringing 😉 Now, the ship; you already know it's the site of the semi-new Gallery Bar. When she was new after being christened by the Queen in our favorite city (the one that neither you, nor I, was born in) she did not come out with a Gallery Bar. That's a lot of hints..........

Hey, I must be getting OLD!! That indeed was the name - and it was adjacent to the Oak room. I found an old deck plan and the Java Cafe indeed connected the Casino, Oak Room (originally a smoking room later sort of an ante room to the library/Explorations cafe) and Explorers lounge.

Thanks - it was still called the Java Bar when we were on in 2019 I believe. Those chairs were always full too 😉 thanks for the good wishes. Summer is easy as I am busy with my gardens. I dread the winter with no cruise to look back on but we have one to look forward to and I’m hopeful by then it will be relatively safe 😉

Fountain of the Sirens Agreed, Statendam's atrium was nice, but I always liked Rotterdam's "Times Square" topped by Hercules holding the world on his back Edited September 28, 2020 by Copper10-8

I believe early on it was thought of more as the coffee bar (certainly with less options than are now available in Exploration Cafe) but drinks were available from there also. I have fond remembrances of after dinner espresso martinis while listening to the Adagio Strings. Aaaah, the good old days are gone.....but we will survive and enjoy the cruising life whenever it restarts. Ur last experience last Dec/Jan (24 day Seabourn Quest Antarctica and South Georgia) was at least a good way to finish up our cruising "career" if we are unable to do anything in the future.
