A NEWLY REFURBISHED NORWEGIAN SPIRIT HEADS TO AUSTRALIA FOR THE 2021/22 SEASON

Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed a new and refurbished Norwegian Spirit will be heading to Australia and New Zealand for the 2021/22 local summer sailing season.
Offering a collection of eight, 10- and 12- day port intensive itineraries departing from Sydney and Auckland that will reveal breathtaking beauty to even the most well-travelled. From cruising the scenic peaks and tree-lined cliffs of Milford Sound, to exploring the historic buildings and fine food of Akaroa – New Zealand’s only French settlement – or venturing to Eden’s Ben Boyd National Park for some snorkelling in the summer sunshine, guests will be spoilt for choice when it comes to activities to explore ashore.

This will be her first every season in the region.

The all-new Norwegian Spirit will have new spaces for the adults, fresh staterooms and 14 new venues. Further updated elements include the second Onda by Scarpetta restaurant at sea, a doubled-in-size Mandara Spa, an expanded Pulse Fitness Center and the adult-only retreat Spice H2O. Guests can enjoy panoramic ocean views from Spinnaker Lounge, or a glass of bubbles in the Charles Rennie Mackintosh inspired Magnum’s Champagne & Wine Bar...... Read more >

Good point. But we don't know what any cruising will be like when it restarts.

Princess has been slowly going downhill over the few years we've been cruising although a lot may depend on the ship and her captain and other senior officers - the Sea Princess Hawaii/Tahiti cruise we did last year was the best we'd done as far as consistency and quality of food and service was concerned. Even the ambience and overall vibe was more upbeat than usual.

Celebrity was also going downhill in our opinion, especially bar service, quality of food, and the constant loud music and announcements.

9 hours ago, getting older slowly said:

Question what is NCL like compared to Princess  ??

like price, vibe.. age group ????

Cheers Don

Closest equivalents in Australian market are the same market as RCL and Carnival i.e. mass market, all age groups.

Thanks for the Heads-up! - We have sailed with NCL 8 times previously over the last 10 years and have found them to be excellent. We have just booked a B2B from SYD - AUK - SYD for early 2022 - something to look forward to in these dark times!
