John Bull Posted October 6, 2020 #2 Share Posted October 6, 2020 I foresee a potential movie along the lines of Jurassic Park JB
Rare cruisemom42 Posted October 8, 2020 #3 Share Posted October 8, 2020 I'd heard about the "brain turned to glass" earlier but not about the intact brains cells -- who would have thought such a thing could happen?? It's been good, the last couple of years, to see that they are once again doing active excavation and research at Pompeii. When I was there in February, I saw several houses that were newly opened after years of being closed for restoration.
Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted October 8, 2020 #4 Share Posted October 8, 2020 If you want a historical fiction (mystery) description of the eruptions in Pompeii and Herculaneaum, I recommend Tasha Alexander – In the Shadow of Vesuvius
TSUmom Posted October 21, 2020 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2020 Pompeii was my favorite place to visit on my Med cruise! I would love to go back again.
