So, Just booked the Sky Princess out of Ft. Lauderdale for December 4th 2021. I am pretty confidant that she will sail and hopefully most of this Covid crap will be behind us. Got an amazing deal at least i think. Obstructed balcony including Drink package, WIFI, Gratuities for $2,495.00. I have been on the Regal Princess and notice there are some difference between the two even though they are the same class. I do love the aft pool. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The Sky is a beautiful ship!  We cruised on the Sky last Jan (2020).  It is similar to the Regal and Royal with a few differences, some we liked, some we didn't.  There is no longer a wall separating out Princess Live - this is a nice improvement.  It is still used for various activities but,  when not in use, it is another big open space to hang out and have a cocktail, play cards or whatever.  Also, the area in front of Crown grill is much more spacious and beautifully furnished.  In fact,  the furniture throughout the ship is beautiful and very comfy.  Crooners has been replaced with another place to eat which we didn't like. I forget what it is called but it is predominately seafood and you can smell it as you walk near that area.  Plus, the tables and chairs are very basic and crammed together. I think they made a mistake doing this.  The place is empty most of the time.  The pizza restaurant is fantastic - looks out on the water and the menu has great salads and other choices for those who don't like pizza.   The sanctuary is beautiful and much improved - lots of seating,  and a very nice bar by the pool.  The other change that we were not happy with was that there is no Club 6 beside the casino. It is now called Take 5.  It is not as nice as Club 6 or Skywalkers  on the other ships,  and they only play Jazz.  I don't mind Jazz but we also like a variety of music.  On the pool deck, they've taken out the raised middle section which they have on the Regal and Royal for the nightly water show.   This is big improvement as it allows for much more seating and it  is easier to walk around.  We are booked on the Sky for Jan 19 on a 10 day  Southern Caribbean cruise - realistically, not sure this will happen, but keeping my fingers crossed. We are from Canada, and at the moment our Federal gov't has an advisory out that says not to cruise - messes up our travel insurance if we choose to go.  Hope this info helps you.....

In addition to the lack of Crooners on Sky (what were they thunking?!), it looks like the aft pool is not much more than a splash pool. But they did vastly improve Princess Live, so the seating seems to be much more comfortable They also added staterooms on the retreat deck, cutting that beautiful area almost in half. We had our November Sky cruise cancelled this year & are thinking of the November 2021 repo out of NY.

Also...
It’s so nice to be talking potential cruises, even if over a year away!

Beautiful big ship. Aft pool lovely if you can get near it. I had an obstructed balcony above pizza restaurant. Not obstructed looking straight out.  I have Enchanted booked for Dec 10/21. Hoping to sail by then or have my FCC extended.

Along with no Crooners there is now a French themed dining area that everyone gets to walk by and see what is going on.  Al several other changes in other venues that make them smaller.  Not one of my favorite Royal class ships.

Also if cruising hasn't started up by then I would expect that many companies will no longer be in existence.

We loved it. Jan 2020 was our cruise on it. The Pizza is excellent at the pizza restaurant only. Nothing else negative at all.

Nope - there is a bar by the adult pool but it isn't in the Sanctuary.  That Retreat area is now surrounded by cabins and we had one on the first real cruise out of Port Everglades.  That area is very hot because it is now recessed into the deck.  No beds around the pool either - just a row of chairs up against the cabin window walls.

The folks running the Sanctuary didn't like the new arrangement because it has little shade, more cabanas that folks don't reserve, and only around 24 loungers.

In theory you can order drinks from your phone but this only worked when near the pool.  Did not recognize location when you were on deck above the pool.

Aft pool is a bit weird.  Just a small pool set in the deck of the area outside the buffet.  No loungers when we were there since this was more of an eating area than a pool area.  Could change when cruising resumes.

Actually one of the best things on this ship were new fluffy dark blue towels and lots of little cubbys where these were stored.

We just cancelled 12/28 on Sky with anticipation it will be cancelled soon.

But good luck to you.  Hope it does sail

We were also on that sailing and cancelled for same reason 😞

Hard for me to believe there will be any cruising this year, let alone in the first half of 2021 (just my opinion)
