Was thinking about switching back to a window cabin with 2 bathrooms [that is what we ussually do [there are 4 of us] It is not in the budget to do  other than an interior and still have access to the Havan[Haven?] area.

I have heard so many positives about the Havana [or is it Haven?] area, but wonder if it is worth staying in an inside cabin. Any input would be appreciated.

It is called the Havana area.  As you know it is an exclusive area on the 3 Vista Class ships on deck 5 with a beautiful aft view with a good size pool and 2 large hot tubs.  There is also 2 tiki huts in which you can read or just chill with a drink while your feet are in very shallow water.  Besides the fact that there are no rug rats in this area you also do not have to deal with chair hogs or the adult soup like the aft pool is on the Conquest Class ships.

Only you can determine if having two bathrooms will be better than the attributes of staying in a Havana cabin.  I personally stayed in 5205, which is a sideways inside cabin on the Horizon on two different occasions for 8 days  each and we had a great time.  If we ever book a Vista Class ship in the future, it will be in the Havana area.

I’m also missing the free feeling of cruising...no cooking, no cleaning, no bartendering!!

If the stars line up for us, our next scheduled cruise is our 1st B2B, on the Carnival Spirit in March 2022 in Australia.

Fingers crossed. We still may add the 50yr Sailabration cruise for a B2B2B.

I’m trying not to get too excited, as we need lotsa luck for this to be a go.

I'm only 30% certain our February cruise will go, so I won't talk about that. Our December '21 cruise, however, has a very high likelihood. I just upgraded our room on the Panorama to a Havana Cabana. We already have one on the February cruise, but because even if it goes we know DH can't, we wanted to make sure DH gets to experience the HC. We love the Panorama and it's a cruise I'm really excited about. I've been looking at excursions and found one at Puerto Vallarta that looks wonderful, so I might just book it. Puerto Vallarta is such a beautiful area.

Yeah, I've technically still got a cruise in mid March 2021 but I'm going to move the booking to late November 2021 on the same ship and itinerary.  Even if that March 2021 cruise exists (which I doubt), too many restrictions to jump through before widespread vaccine availability and simply too many planned activities after the cruise at places that won't reopen until summer. On the other hand looking forward to a couple days in Cabo for late November and just being back on a cruise ship.

Definitely NOT a deal breaker [I have no problem with wearing a mask if it gets me on a ship!] but I am hoping that they still have the new cakes on the lunch buffet! And as a platinum, I will be thrilled if I get another luggage tag.[ and totally okay if I get nothing]

The problem with the TV trick is it makes the room too bright at night, at least to our liking. We stayed in interior cabins when we first started cruising, but once we tried a balcony cabin we were hooked on them. I think staying in a Havana interior isn’t a bad option if you consider the Havana pool area as your “balcony”.

However, there is no way we will book anything other than a balcony cabin for the forseeable future. If it gets to the point where passengers are forced to stay in their cabins for an extended period, which is a possibility these days but hopefully not likely, having a balcony will at least help us keep our sanity. I can’t imagine what it would be like being confined to an interior cabin.

We have never sailed in anything but interiors on any line we have sailed.as long as it is just the wife and I ,.no problem but if we take the youngest grandson it will have to be a balcony.we are on sunshine for ten days in January 2022.only thing I did different was pay an extra $300 to be on lido deck because of 4 sea days.

We were booked on the Panorama in May. We were looking forward to cruising a brand new ship. Sadly Covid ruined that.   Booked on

MSC this December,  sadly Covid ruined that.   We have been taking road trips in the meantime.   We will not plunk down any money on a cruise until they get underway again and we see how it goes. Hopefully the vaccine will return cruising to us.

I thought Scarlet Lady already did a few cruises overseas? Like another poster mentioned, my wife and I are curious to get feedback from passengers once she starts sailing from the states. The thought of an adults only cruise is very appealing.

I believe all she did was a 1 night cruise to nowhere for travel agents and special guests.  The inaugural events were all scrubbed due to the DNA that shall not be named.

I am looking forward to Feb. 27 for a week on Carnival Panorama, then a week going in to the office, wiping noses, and making sure work is being done, then on Mar. 13 for another week on Carnival Panorama. What I am most excited about is cruising with only half the passengers. I just hope they will still have playlist productions and Punchliner's comedy shows. I may even have a go on the sky cycle and a session in the bounce house. I took Panorama last January and it was a great vacation. The layout of the ship is great. I enjoy a Jacuzzi in the Serenity area. I could snack all day at the sea food shack. The steakhouse is as good as any with five stars, the service is friendly and impeccable. The beef is perfectly aged, rubbed, and cooked to order. The side dishes are tasty too. I also hope that smoking is prohibited in the casino, like many of the shoreside casinos. Then from March 20 to June 12 I will watch my diet in preparation for my Singapore/Australia/New Caledonia  first B2B Carnival Cruise. I will take my mask and snorkel on that trip.  It's going to be a good year!

Our next cruise will probably be in May 2022 for my 40th birthday. Itinerary is undetermined--either Alaska, Southern Caribbean, or something in Europe.

Edited to add: I am looking forward to amazing service, seeing all the staff and giving them big fat tips, seeing the ocean again (I'm in WY), traveling in general...

February 20, 2021 on the Panorama.  We cruised on her this past February while she was still a "new" ship,  she'll still be practically new!

My first cancellation was in May, then a couple later on for the Mardi Gras. I’ve spent my time stalking all the cruise info I could find and keep on booking. Have 6 cruises booked now, more than we’ve ever had booked at a time. Next booked is 2/6/21 inaugural Mardi Gras, then 2/20/21 Panorama. Was excited to add the TA Celebration in 11/22 when it was announced. Just looking forward to cruising again, hope we don’t overdo it.

In Feb (the first week, maybe the 5th?) I am setting sail on the Conquest with my super fun friend for 4 days of relaxation and fun. We have a bowling alley balcony cabin and that is where I will be if I’m not at a bar. 🙃 Or Serenity on a port day.

We went on this same cruise but on Victory same weekend last year. We’re looking at making it a tradition.

My Next Carnival is September 4 -12, 2021 on the Horizon. I'm looking forward to a Spa Cabin and 8 days of wonderful cruising with my Bestie, My DH! I am trying to talk my Mom & Dad into coming with us so they too can have some fun in the sun!

It is one of the rooms that has a long “hallway” to get into the room.  Also, the balconies are a bit longer than the other balconies.  Look at 7416 and 7419 in the pic.

and the "bowling alley" balcony room is the same rate as a regular balcony.  A chaise lounge, small table and regular chair fit on it whereas a regular balcony fits two regular chairs and small table.  It's nice having the extra space to stretch out! Only certain types of Carnival ships have "bowling alley" rooms .

I changed rooms because I have to have a sofa. I guess I'm only mildly avid about balconies. 📖 <---random emoji that is never used.

I was in 7416 on the Victory and there was a sofa in the room.  It was a tight fit, but it was there.  I loved this room and would book it again.  Too bad that they don’t have it on all ships.
