Pickels Posted November 5, 2020 #1 Share Posted November 5, 2020 Here's an hypothetical question... If you have an FCC that expires on 12/31/2021, and you use the voucher for a cruise sailing in 2022, and after you book the cruise, Celebrity cancels the cruise, what happens to the voucher if it's pass 12/31/2021
wrk2cruise Posted November 5, 2020 #2 Share Posted November 5, 2020 I would believe that they would issue you a new FCC probably with a short expiry < 1 year. I think if you read though the FAQ's there is some text in there for something similar with some of the early cancellations where they may have extended the expiry to Oct 2020 but I may be thinking of something else. If you were to cancel after the expiry date it would just be gone.
Arizona Wildcat Posted November 5, 2020 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2020 You would either get a new FCC or if your FCC is for a cruise that was cancelled you could select a refund of monies paid if Celebrity cancels your replacement cruise. If Celebrity "changes" your cruise no matter how significantly then you pretty much use it or lose it. Remember they have always had the right to change things - duration, ports etc. I used FCCs for multiple cruises this coming July and August. At least one of them is unlikely to sail - Greenland TA in August. One I cancelled. The others are FCCs for cancelled cruises. I will take a refund of my payment on the FCCs for cancelled cruises and be stuck with a replacement FCC for the other. Will be interesting to see policies next year for dealing with COVID. Extend existing policies or?
