We never had a butler How much do you tip him

You can find the suggested amount on celebrity website. Search gratuities anything above recommended or included is a personal matter

Their standard tip is included in the auto tips you pay.  Anything in addition is at your discretion and the butlers performance.

Although this is very true- most if not all butlers work for and are accustomed to more than the standard included gratuity.  Some people never use the butler - so maybe the standard is OK for them.  But in my experience anyway the butler will be at a very high performance level and make your cruise experience more luxurious and enjoyable.  The extra tip is at your discretion of course.  Usually last day of the cruise.

Tipping is always so subjective.  As others have said if in a suite, tips are included, though we have been fortunate to have wonderful butlers and we always tip additional.  We eat breakfast in our suite every morning and 2-3x lunch or dinner.  To us, the extra tips are our way of showing appreciation.  Again though, they are included, so really comes down to a personal choice, level of service and frequency of use.

Just an FYI since you never had a Butler but you will have both a Butler and a room steward.  Both tips are included in the standard tips.

But for wonderful service, you might consider bumping the pre-tips up a bit with handing some cash

We book Aqua, Sky Suites and Celebrity Suites.  Even when we have pre-paid gratuities as a perk, when in a suite, we always provide an extra tip to the butler and the cabin steward.  We are low maintenance folks and know that the butlers tend to feel that we don't ask enough of them.

Tipping of course is always subjective.

We have had some excellent butlers and always give them an additional gratuity commensurate to the service level.   We almost always eat our cooked breakfast in our suite.   The amount of additional tips would range from $2.50-$5.00 pp/pd in addition to the standard tip.  When on a B2B we tip at the end of each cruise.

That is generally our range too.  However, we have tipped even more for service above and beyond!  Bart (from Goa, India) is our absolute favorite butler.  We keep in touch with him via email and select itineraries he will be on.
