Medical care

I agree, taking your own unit is a good idea..there are some very small, easy to use units, and I would take one of those. But not for the cynical reason mentioned... but because most medical units on ships have very limited hours (of course they are on call 24/7, but have limited clinic hours). I doubt they would charge you for a BP check.

As other have suggest you are better going your own BP machine....

Unless you have Transient BP and need to change you dosage.....

I would not worry about taking one... you are meant to be relaxing...

Also having a stranger take your BP can cause it go up... which in turn makes you worry and it goes up further...

I have been managing high BP for almost 30 year now, and a family member has Transient BP  which is a bit of pain....

This is for a group we are organizing that are all over 75(other than ourselves) many that need to monitor their BP. Of course, most would own a monitor, but we are trying to reduce redundancy in packing.
As no one seems to be sure as to whether they charge or not, I will inform everyone that they would be best to bring their own monitor or organize sharing.

Thank you.
