Re future cruise deposit:  call Princess and ask that your FCD gets applied to your next cruise if it has not expired. I had to approach them a few times to get this done. Now I will get the $100/pp OBC attached to this deposit.

Our Feb 21 cruise is still on our account.  And of course our FCD is used for that.  Interesting enough we can't cancel ez air without a $499 penalty.  We did a chat with Princess and they said no issues. Everything has been cancelled and it's just time for the site to catch up.

In 2020 when my cruises that had EZAir were cancelled, the air showed in the Personalizer until the FCCs were processed. However the reservation disappeared from the airline site within a couple of days after the cruise was cancelled.

We're not sure what we're getting back WRT to FCD.  She typed like it's $100 + $100 extra.  I THINK it'll be future cruise CREDIT not DEPOSIT.  We have a Feb 22 booked so should be good with that, but I did wonder if we'd prefer just having the FCD back.  Not sure we get a choice.  Getting the $100 credit SHOULD be a better deal since we usually take 10 and less day cruises so we only get $50.  Sure we miss using it for deposits, but $50 isn't a bad return if we decide to book another cruise BEFORE we go in 22 and have to actually use $$s instead of FCD.  Doubtful that we'll do it since I suspect earliest we book another might be March 23.  Only time will tell.

Several times in 2020 people posted that after applying the FCCs that were generated from an FCD for a cancelled cruise, they were able to contact Princess (through a TA is booked with a TA) and have the appropriate OBC that an FCD would have given applied to the new cruise.

I checked my princess account on Saturday.  Of the two cruises that were cancelled in Nov 2020 for 2021, one has the FCC back on my account and the other is still showing active.  this was a cruise booked through the casino department and we paid for the cruise in full at the time of booking.  the refund of monies is not back on my credit card as of this morning, but once we get that we will rebook another cruise.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the date of your 2021 cruise.  We had our July 3, 2021 cruise  cancelled by Princess on November 23, 2020 and have seen nothing yet.

we had a 7 day cruise in April 2021

we had a 14 day cruise to Alaska July 2021

we received the FCC back to our account on the April cruise, but no money yet

We only had a $200 FCC deposit on the July cruise, once that is returned we will rebook another cruise

Thanks for the information.  Our 14-day cruise to Alaska was for a July 3, 2021 departure out of Los Angeles; we opted for the FCC refund.  We also had a $200 FCD as part of that reservation.  To date, we have seen nothing.  We are hoping that cancellation processing does not take as long as the 2000 cancellations did.

My 2 cruises, b2b in April 2021, booked with a T/A still show up on the Princess web site. I only paid a FCD.

The challenge is to get my FCD’s back. What’s been peoples success for getting any  FCD’s back. Perhaps a call to Princess.

If I remember correctly, cruises cancelled 11/23/2020 had a deadline at the end of December for choosing to receive a refunbd instead of FCCs.

Thus I would not expect any FCCs or refunds to be processed until that decision date which means they should be working on them sometime this month/

That is correct.  Went through this same ugly process for 3 cruises before so I figure it will take some time; hopefully, not as long as the last set of cancellations.

I called Princess casino department this morning to check on the return of monies.  She said that they just started the refunds as of Jan 8th - and there is no time table for the refunds.

But the FCC is there, so that is a start

I just checked my FCC and saw an entry that shows I received $100 "Used For Goodwill Fccs".  Earned date showing is 1/12/21 (active status).  I assume it is for my Princess-cancelled 7/3/21 cruise.  Guess I will await the rest of my Fcc money to be deposited.

In my account, this was how    the bonus FCCs were labeled for each cruise I chose to receive the bonus FCC instead of asking to have monies refunded.

Thanks for the post. We also opted to receive the FCC instead of asking for the money refunded.  We had already paid out $4,000 and had 2 FCD on the cancelled cruise so not sure how they got the $100 figure for the 25% of the paid cruise fare.  I am thinking that perhaps the $100 was for my FCD refund and not supposed to be Goodwill FCC.

So after noticing the FCC back on our acct yesterday, calling Princess this morning, I received a call from Princess this afternoon.  I told her that I had talked to someone this morning and they said that they could not give me a time frame for the monies going back to my credit card.

This lady said that my account showed that the money was refunded today and to watch my credit card, it should it in the next few days.  She did say that I had until March 31st, 2021 to rebook using the FCC and they would give me all the same perks that my original cruise was booked under but it had to be taken before May 21, 2022.

Well, more confusion coming my way.  Yesterday, we received a $100 FCC for our Princess 7/3/21 cancelled cruise.  Later on in the day, we received another $100 FCC for goodwill.  I think I will wait until all the FCCs have settled and then have my TA call and find out what the heck is going on.

Well, in our case...had 2 cruises for 2020 cancelled in the 1st phase last March.  The FCC's went into our account and we subsequently booked a May, 2021 Alaska sailing on which the FCC's were applied.  On Nov. 20th, we got the word the May, 2021 Alaska cruise was cancelled.

In the meantime, we booked a cruise for Nov., 2021 on the Enchanted out of FLL and have a "make-up" Alaska cruise being held for May, 2022 (no money paid yet, but 2/4/2020 due date for payment).

The cancelled May, 2021 cruise in still showing in our Personalizer with the FCC's still applied.  I called Princess today to inquire if we can have those FCC's transferred over to the Nov. sailing on the Enchantment AND take the amount of the deposit and apply to the held Alaska cruise.

Was told no can do....the cancelled May cruise is "inactive' and money cannot be transferred.  We will have to wait until all credits/refunds are built.  The rep gave me NO timeline on this, but suggested I call back around Feb. 1st to request due date be extended on "Held" cruise.

So...here we go again...

we had one of these on our cruise that got cancelled a few days ago - and now have one ( extended due date for deposit on cruise on hold ) for a cruise we are booking for 4/2022

and now our Discovery cruise(s) have been 'redeployed' and replaced by Regal ...

Re: moving my FCC & FCD to a new/ existing booking has not been a problem for me. I have done it twice since last April. It was done immediately although I was told it might take up to 4 weeks to see FCC applied to new/ existing booking.
deposits made to my credit cards showed up in a few days, although I had to ask agent twice to refund deposit and only apply my FCD.

so, if you are being told no. I would call back and speak to someone else.

also my FCC are:  cruise with confidence

and

goodwill

Update from yesterday....just saw on another thread that folks were finding new FCC's posted on their accounts.  I had logged in twice earlier today, but after seeing these new posts, checked our Princess accounts again and found that new FCC's have now been added to our balance.

Have call in now with PCC to see if these FCC amounts can be tranferred to our 2022 cruise on hold.

Also will address the cancelled cruise still showing in our account with our previous FCC's applied.
