Prescription Extensions for Durable Medical Equipment

We've seen the threads on this forum about getting prescription extensions for 90, 120, 180 days (and longer) for medications.

We are also concerned about getting such extensions for durable medical equipment like insulin pump infusion sets and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) sensors & transmitters. DW has the Tandem t:Slim insulin pump and the Dexcom G6 CGM.

Has anyone had success in getting their insurance company to approve long overrides of similar durable medical equipment such as insulin pump infusion sets and CGM sensors & transmitters? We are in the USA and are on Medicare with BCBS Federal Employee secondary insurance.
