We live in Barbados and just booked SD1 for 26 November. Had our first vaccine late February and scheduled second dose in May.  We had booked for last November but they suspended all cruises after the first one.  Fingers crossed for this November.

We recently booked a round trip out of Barbados a few weeks later, in mid-December.  However, we read today that Barbados now has among the toughest restrictions on visitors including a nightly 7 PM curfew.  Sure hope the restrictions ease by Nov/Dec so these voyages occur as scheduled.  Please keep us all posted since you live there and can shed light on the state of things later in the year.

We're booked on the first Med cruise leaving Athens June 5, 11 days to Venice. SD keeps advising that they plan to operate the cruise as Greece relaxes entry requirements, but now Italy is in partial lockdown again. We've both been vaccinated and feel by adhering to safety protocols we expect to enjoy a virus free cruise. The various ports might not all be open, but we go on SD for the yacht and not the location. Would love to see posts from others booked with SD this summer and what info comes your way.

Jealous you are booked and hope it works out.  We have one in October that also ends in Venice and remain concerned about Italy as you are now.  As you know, most of the stops on your voyage are not in Greece (4 of them) but most are in Montenegro and Croatia before the disembarkation in Venice.  It is entirely possible the voyage ends somewhere else.  An early sign will be if the crew are told for sure when to report back and how to get vaccinated.  Thus far it seems all that return to work stuff is tentative.

We too are booked for the Med this summer...SDI August 2nd out of Rome. A wonderful itinerary. Italy, France, and Spain. It looks tough there right now, but hoping as spring/summer approaches things will improve. Likewise booked for New Year's out of St. Maarten! We're optimists and double vaxxed!

Has SD relaxed the final payment requirements, as many lines have?  Could not find anything on their website about it.  We are interested in the June cruises but don’t think the chances of them actually going are very high.  I don’t mind making a modest deposit at this time for an iffy cruise, but not keen on plunking down the full payment.  Refunds are a hassle.  And the whole cruise industry is on shakey financial grounds...
