Included Excursions

Just booked our first Saga cruise - 19 night Eastern Med,October 2022.

 Noticed included excursions in some ports.Can any regular Saga cruisers give me some examples

of what these excursions consist of.

Ports included on this cruise are Malaga,Valletta,Athens,Palma,and Lisbon

These are a recent addition to Saga’s inclusions so no one has experienced them yet.

I suspect that these will be sightseeing half day tours similar to the sort that Viking offer but can’t confirm this.

The brochure does state that the included tours are sightseeing tours, and when they ran the Mystery Cruises with included tours, they were indeed half-day coach trips seeing the main sights, occasionally stopping for photo opportunities, but rarely going inside anywhere.

Always a bit difficult with included tours, as they have to cater for all abilities.

I think my cruise has 11 ports and 6 inclusive excursions.  Does anyone know if you get to choose which excursions.  Some of my ports are cities I would want to wander around some I'd prefer an excursion is it our choice

As far as I can tell from the Saga brochures and its website, the included excursion will be a basic sightseeing tour, offered on a take it or leave it basis. You will receive a booklet with payable excursions a few weeks before departure, and they'll also be bookable at that time via MySaga.
