patiently waiting for the next Club 21 offer

The last one expired yesterday, 02-15-21. It actually had new intineraries I had never seen before for Club 21 offers; 7 day Voyage of the Vikings, 10 day Mediterranean Mosaic, 14 day Trans-Atlantic.  Usually they are all 7 day Caribbean, Mexico and Alaska. They will have to leave Alaska 2021 off the next offer, maybe replace it with Australia or Asia?

Not sure what Club 21 is, but think it must be a casino offer. I received an email last week with free inside rooms, $75 casino play and free drinks in the casino. Booked for a 10 day partial transit of the panama canal leaving the day before Thanksgiving. Asked about upgrading to balcony, but the additional pp was a lot - can't remember exactly, but think it was $700 pp or so. Since have no idea if things will be going by then and was not interested in loaning money to HAL, just booked the free room, figuring I can possibly upgrade later. The offers started late October and ended in early December.

Was surprised to receive. Had booked one of these and would have been gone last week. Was very bummed that it was cancelled since do not usually receive these.

A question for those who have done this before. If I receive the free drinks in the casino, can we just purchase a drink package for DH or do both of you need to purchase full drink package?

Got one about 4 weeks ago for Alaska cruises, with dates even in the peak season!  I figured that this was too good to be true and it was - 2 weeks later Alaska was cancelled.

We received the same offer.  Living on the "frozen tundra" where we have glaciers in our back yard for 6 months of the year, we passed on it.  Then we received another offer, but the dates available are for when we are hoping to be on a trans-Atlantic out of Barcelona in November.  Fingers crossed on that one.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

If you're in the same cabin with DH, or whoever else shares the cabin, they will receive the same comps that you do. Free cabin, free play, and free drinks. Just see the casino manager and he/she will be happy to explain things to you, and help you get your free play and free drinks.

How do you handle tipping on the free casino drinks?   I don't carry cash

There is no tipping on any drinks that I'm aware of. I'm not sure they are allowed to take tips for any kind of bar service. Maybe on Carnival? I don't drink alcohol so they give me free soda or un-leaded cocktails, like Virgin Mary, etc.  Things change of course, but that's how I remember it, and we do those casino offers all the time.

Thanks BobbiSox.  I am also a non-alcohol drinker but would like to try some of those un-leaded drinks

I had that one too....but on February 9, I also received a casino offer for booking between 02/09/21 and 03/19/21. $75 casino credit, free drinks while gambling and free inside stateroom on select Caribbean, Mexico and Pacific Coast sailings.  On the Caribbean, I was offered a 10 day Panama Canal Sunfarer on the Eurodam, departing Ft. Lauderdale on December 5, 2021.

I had the offer.  I have the 12-night NA booked for December, which was a re-booking of B2B NA this past January that I'd booked using a casino offer ("free" inside that was actually $200 but with casino credit & DOU).

I considered cancelling December and booking the 2 sailings (7 + 5 nights) under that offer, but I have 3 FCCs applied and have booked the All-In fare, so my balance on my J inside cabin isn't much.

If I booked B2B and they don't sail, I'd have 5 FCCs.  At least HAL lets you stack them, which I wish I could do with my half-dozen Carnival FCCs.

Next offer, I may actually consider an Alaska sailing.  I've never been particularly interested in Alaska (I always want to go somewhere warm), but I know it's incredibly beautiful, so I really should go.

Well I guess this is the new Club 21 offer. See PDF, It's a 7 day Holiday cruise on the New Standendam. Special rates, $100 casino cash all sorts of entries into prize drawings. Might be appealing if you live in FL.

I received the same offer. Did you receive a free or discounted cabin?

this was my rates:  remember the jack up prices on "Holiday Cruises" since entire families can usually cruise then.

Interior:

from US$680

Ocean-view:

from US$870

Verandah:

from US$970

Suite:

from US$1,720

That's a good offer for a Holiday Cruise. I am a much bigger loser so I was offered a free Neptune Suite. Usually the offer includes a significant amount of free play also. There was no free play attached so I will pass.

Laminator, I didn't receive the offer for a free stateroom or casino cash,  but it is listed on my HAL account as a Private Sale with the $400 onboard spending. We are already booked on an 11-day casino slot tournament cruise for Dec. 1, 2021. Kinda afraid to book anything before that because of Covid restrictions, but the 5-day Bahamas cruise on Dec. 18, 2021 might be possible.
