You guys get WAY better offers than me.  Y'all apparently spend way more in the casino than I typically do.  I am not a high roller!

My offer for the K'dam 11/14 slot tournament is $150 casino cash and fares from $299/pp for an interior!  I wouldn't consider a free Vista Suite to be an awful deal. 😄

Compared to my other offers that one is awful. I blurred the casino cash but it is a significant amount.

Well, that's weird!  I have NEVER received a "slot tournament cruise" offer.  Wouldn't be interested anyway, as I'd chew ground glass before I'd play a slot machine.  However, a free Vista Suite offer ain't shabby!  Don't think I've ever gotten one of those in any of my casino offers.

I was on a slot tournament cruise on the K'dam.  Although it was fun, it was WAY too busy.  You had to wait to play on most nights.  I prefer to just be a casino invited guest.

Also, the Casino Discount program works out well.  While the fares are more expensive (we normally get a 15-20 discount) than the casino offers (free or heavily discounted fares), with a casino discount you can get all the current promotion perks PLUS you get you select your cabin.  AND, many more cruises are included, even those further out.

I'm actually pretty happy that it seems every cruise I price includes a casino discount.  For me, they seem to be about 30% (I book as a solo).

Also a solo, and that seems to have been my experience also.  Even when I'm just booking a cruise that I have selected (not any of the email offers) because I like the itinerary or ship or something, my PCC will always say--unprompted-- "and that includes your casino discount" when quoting the fare.

Thanks for posting this.

Question - usually when I get a casino offer it’s by snail mail.  And usually there a no itineraries I want but this time I see next year’s booked cruises.

Not sure if I qualify or not but wondering is there something special you did to get the email offers?  I’d much prefer email over snail mail.

Thanks 🙂

They are not going to send Club 21 offers in snail mail anymore, you need to call them and make sure the people who put out the Club 21 offers have your email.

Thanks - I assume I call the Ocean Players Club?  Or the number on Laminator’s casino offer they posted?

Call your PCC. Everything runs through them now.

Thanks - assuming my TA can do it too.  My PCC (who was excellent) is no longer with HAL. 😔

Laminator- I meant to say you should join me on the 11-07-21 California Coastal.  Two expert gamblers like of us can clean out the casino's safe on the K-dam and maybe they will stop offering all of these Club 21 deals to all the novices. 😆

LMAO...I actually am on the Rotterdam 11/10/21.

You Casino Snobs crack me up. 😄

I'm still just delighted that I get a lowly free inside cabin offer with a whopping $100 casino credit.

Hey, if I can sail for 10 nights (looking at Eurodam in November, which would include my birthday), I'll happily take it!

When I look at it though, it won't let me select a cabin.  I've never done a guarantee and I just know I'd be stuck in a horrible location under a bar with a thumping bass that would keep me from sleeping.  I'm not a very nice person when I'm sleep deprived!  But I'm going to have my TA call and see if she can get me a cabin selection.

Still considering adding 7 nights to start my 12-night NA in December.  Or rebooking my MSC for that time frame.  And now, for the first time ever after many, many (slightly) reduced-fare casino offers on Carnival, I have offers for free insides.  No casino cash but more OBC.  Hmmm.  10 nights on Eurodam or 5 nights on a Fantasy-class ship.  Not really a tough decision there!

You can call and ask for a specific cabin. There may be a small charge but it may be worth it for your piece of mind.

You can try, but normally the free or heavily discounted casino deals do not allow this.  I am able to pick my cabin when using a CASINO DISCOUNT however (10-30% off)

As you can see from my offer somewhere above I get a Free Neptune Suite. The little asterisk reflects the offer is a guaranty. I can wait and take what they give me or I can call and choose the cabin I want. I want an aft wrap Neptune Suite. For $300 to $400 extra I book the room I want. My PCC knows me well enough now to not even bother to tell me to wait as you will get an SA when they assign the cabins. I don't understand why this doesn't work for others also. Now that I think about it I am pretty sure it has to as my friends from Holland received a free ocean view cabin offer. I made their reservation also and upgraded their cabin. You only pay the difference between the cost of the cabin you are offered and the cost of the cabin you want. Maybe I just have the greatest PC.

This is good to know and I will try it in the future, but to date I have had to take a guarantee.  In Dec I have a Neptune booked (had to pay to have it upgraded from a free oceanview, but they would only give me a guarantee - I would gladly have paid a bit more to pick my cabin.

Do you use a PCC? I have done this 20 to 25 times and have never had an issue. The guaranty I receive is for a Neptune SC. The aft wraps are SB so I pay the price difference and I am good to go. On our Nov 10th cruise on the Rotterdam I have the 4th floor Aft wrap on the starboard side. I obviously also have to pay the taxes and port fees along with the price difference of the SC to SB. I am just hoping the cruise sails. I think, barring a setback, we will be good to go by then.

My "free" insides that I booked B2B for this past January included picking my cabin at no upcharge.  Had a J square inside (that I fell in love with on Zuiderdam; they're great for a solo).

My regular TA declined to call for me!  Said I could call since she gets next-to-nothing as commission on these.  Well, I understand, but it's not like I don't book other cruises with her.  Let's see.  I have Carnival for Feb semi-B2B Australia followed by NZ.  Then a Med+TA B2B for October 2022.  Then NCL Bliss quasi B2B TAs (going to Italy for drydock; we'll take her both directions and do a land vaca in between).  Yes, I mostly book inside cabins but not always.  I'm sure she'd prefer that all her customers book suites but I'm a little annoyed.  She also declined to book my MSC cruise because she said their customer service is so awful (that's true).  Right now, I'm thinking HER customer service isn't so great.

Anyway, I imagine my PCC is still with HAL.  Should I call him tomorrow or just call the number on the offer?

There is, of course, still a question as to whether we can even sail for >7 nights in November!

My PCC is listed at the top of my offer so I always call her. I would try and see if your PCC is still around. If not call the number in the offer.

Sure sounds like you need a new TA!  Also, I would wait until tomorrow and call my PCC.  You could call today just to see if you get his/her voice mail, if that does not work, then call the number on the mailer.
