drhugs Posted February 18, 2021 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2021 Our favorite ship, the Pacific Princess, has been sold and will now be part of Azamara. We always did the December Holiday cruise on the Love Boat, but now are checking out Crystal and Azamara. We booked the Dec. 23 cruise on the Quest and would appreciate any comments or advice from those who have traveled Azamara previously. We will sail on the Pacific as soon as Azamara renames it..I love the R class ships Thanks for comments! SkystheLimit Posted February 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2021 (edited) I think you will be pleased with the Azamara product. They have done a very good job with the original Renaissance ships. The food, service, and amenities are excellent. We cruised Princess for years and our last trip on the Pacific was not great. Azamara is a much more personal experience than Princess between staff, crew, and guests. Edited February 20, 2021 by SkystheLimit

We have frequently sailed Azamara Quest and Journey to include trans-Atlantics, Med, Asia to Europe and northern Europe. It is like coming home again stepping back on Azamara. One sailing on Pacific Princess, same class/design ship, was night and day. Pacific Princess was well worn and the crew not as helpful. Refurbishment of Pacific to bring her up to Azamara standards will make her a worthy addition to the Azamara fleet. 4
KevintheIrishDJ Posted May 4, 2021 #4 Share Posted May 4, 2021 Pacific Princess was our favorite also. Just booked the Dec. 23 Quest. We usually bring on Cava's for mimosas and are $15 to $20 still wines (Total Wine) by the case. What are the sparkling wines and still wines offered like? We always manage to find a wine we like. There are two different whites, two different reds, a rose and a sparkling wine provided every day. If you find one you really like you can ask for it on another day and they will always try and find it for you. You certainly don’t need to bring any sparkling wine on for mimosas, you can ask for a mimosa (or any other included drink) any time, even at breakfast.
