This is 3 separate cruises on 3 different ships, so not a problem for the crew. But yes, even though I love river cruising I think this would become a Bataan Death March for the passengers. I said earlier, I might consider a bespoke one-ship meander from Amsterdam to the Black Sea because that could have some down days built in. But this sounds like a combo-package of three existing cruises – which will be go-go-go the entire time.
Rare Roz Posted March 7, 2021 #27 Share Posted March 7, 2021 I don't think I would enjoy the packing and unpacking involved with the transfers. That's one of the pluses to river or ocean cruises - unpack when you get onboard and then pack up when you get ready to leave.
pbeach Posted March 13, 2021 #28 Share Posted March 13, 2021 I'm on it! Already been on 8 river cruises, no doubts about this. looking forward to it.
Rare Roz Posted March 13, 2021 #29 Share Posted March 13, 2021 @pbeach, is it available for booking? I don't see it on the AMA website.
pbeach Posted March 14, 2021 #30 Share Posted March 14, 2021 My TA Booked it. They’ve already added another 45 night for April 2023. That’s the one I chose.
Rare Roz Posted March 14, 2021 #31 Share Posted March 14, 2021 I'm not finding it on the AMA website or online TA websites, so you must have to have an "in" in order to book.

pbeach Posted March 14, 2021 #33 Share Posted March 14, 2021 I got the email that was sent to past Ama cruisers regarding the 46 night cruise and sent it to my TA. She took it from there.

We got info about this cruise directly from AMA, I think the email said it would be open to the general public for booking on March 15th so info should be on their website then. Not sure why we got an email about this cruise from them, we have taken a number of AMA cruises, but we were given the opportunity to book it before the general public. Too long a cruise for us though.
Daisi Posted March 14, 2021 #38 Share Posted March 14, 2021 @LTC, I've never taken an AMA cruise, but they sent me the e-mail.. I think it just went out to their general mailing list. I agree, much to long to be cruising, especially when we tend to pack in everything we can so we don't miss out on anything!
Daisi Posted March 15, 2021 #39 Share Posted March 15, 2021 For anyone curious, the Itinerary is now up on the website I liked above.
Rare ColdCruise Posted March 30, 2021 #40 Share Posted March 30, 2021 This trip sounded AMA-zing when we heard about it. Such a shame we’ll have to miss it. Two reasons unfortunately- time and money ... the two curses (or blessings) for those who are beset with wanderlust 🙃
tpbrownec Posted May 24, 2021 #41 Share Posted May 24, 2021 We are booked on the April 2023 45 night cruise (AKA Spring Edition). FYI, the 46 night version has a slightly different itinerary and is referred to as the "Summer Edition". Anybody else have this booked?

Rare CruiserFromMaine Posted May 20, 2022 #43 Share Posted May 20, 2022 @tpbrownec @pbeach we’re booked on this too! Got a nice email from AMA today. It was a general mailer to sign up but it was nice to look at the details again. I get that it’s not for everyone but we’re certainly looking forward to it!
Rare CruiserFromMaine Posted May 21, 2022 #44 Share Posted May 21, 2022 I read the email again, more closely this time. It as actually specifically sent for people already booked. Now I’m even more excited! I wasn’t expecting an email so far in advance.
