UnCruise Adventures requires the vaccine

In my travels around the Internet, I found out that this small, boutique cruise line has joined the others in requiring the current COVID-19 vaccine.  The details are posted at https://uncruise.com/pages/covid-travel-updates .  More for my future notes than for anyone reading this, here are the most interesting takeaways:

  • All guests 18+ must be "fully vaccinated" - no exceptions.  This has the now standard definition of two shots of Pfizer or Moderna, or one shot of J&J plus 14 days.  Other vaccines not mentioned; I assume this will change once the FDA approves them
  • All guests must have a negative PCR test four days prior to boarding (e.g., test Tuesday morning for a Saturday embarkation)
  • Kids are allowed but their numbers will be limited (no details given)
  • Masks required for most activities indoors and when social distancing can't be maintained outdoors
  • They're charging a $97 COVID-19 service fee
  • They recommend a particular at-home test that meets their requirements
  • No more daily temperature checks
  • Port calls are added back for the Alaska cruises
  • Capacity is reduced (no details given)
