lovetravel63-65 Posted March 27, 2021 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2021 We always choose a 1a balcony on starboard side try 6136 as low down and if rough best position ,not port side as smoking permitted on deck six by these cabins.Has one of the largest balconies on the ship.If you want further advice ring me as we are in Salisbury on 01725510533
phe8800 Posted March 27, 2021 #4 Share Posted March 27, 2021 Remember: If you’d like a south facing balcony, then it’s port/left on a westbound TA (and starboard/right on an eastbound TA).

Thanks The largest balconies are those that are the first and third on the angle of the hump, counting from the straight part of the hump. (For example, 1243 and 9215). Those that are second and fourth (e.g., 1245 and 9211) have balconies that aren’t quite as large, but still larger than balconies off the slant of the hump. BTW, when you say “next” October, do you mean this year, or 2022? (We are booked on the latter. There’s already a Roll Call, so please join us if you do book.) TeaBag Posted March 27, 2021 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2021 As has been said, the port side will get the most sun and might be warmer. One thing to consider is that you might not even want to sit out there in October. We sailed one transatlantic when we never went out on our balcony and they had to tie the furniture down. upwarduk Posted March 27, 2021 #7 Share Posted March 27, 2021 This is a 1A, although on Eclipse 6214. By the .way ,it was a port side and we ever smelt any smoke from the smokers on deck 5.

shofer Posted March 31, 2021 #11 Share Posted March 31, 2021 We did the TA from Southampton in 2018 to celebrate our 50th anniversary. It was called "Boston, Broadway and Bermuda." Our cabin was a 1-A - 7264. A very large balcony and it was across from the Hideaway where there was a coffee service starting at 6 AM. We also had an electric kettle in the room with tea bags. First time for that. Had a great time and would do it again.

Had a great time as well, despite that huge storm moving across the Atlantic that required us to change course at the outset.

We did go out on the balcony every day to film some of the wave action. But, as you know, we couldn't really utilize it until we stopped in Bermuda. It was a relaxing crossing.
