Anthem OTS Offering Free Places to Front Line Workers

Anthem OTS is starting summer cruises out of the UK to fully vaccinated passengers, or negative tested for younger people.

They are also offering 999 free places to front line workers, chosen by ballot.

This story appeared on another well-known website and the comments were awful.  People really resent this gesture, citing that NHS workers were only doing their job, etc etc.  And what about those others who had also continued to work the whole time. And then there were those who said that the cruises should be offered to those who had lost their jobs , After all the key workers were still being paid.

How people's attitude has changed since the first days of the pandemic.

I don't think some people have changed their attitudes. They just feel they can now voice their opinions without getting lynched or trolled.

I also think that the comments of some nurses on certain supermarket FB pages upset other posters. The nurses were complaining about the NHS discount being too low; having to queue to get in to the store even though it was 'NHS only hour' and they did not get the free bouquet of flowers for joining the supermarkets NHS scheme.

Seems we are heading back to the 'me, myself and I' state of affairs. Sad really.
