I take my I phone on all trips. I'm seeing lenses that can attach to phones to get better and closer pictures. Anyone know about this?

Check out Moment lens. Not sure if this is the type of lens you want.  Someone I met on a cruise last year mentioned she uses this brand of lens on her iPhone

I got a set of lenses for my daughters phone. So yeah it is a thing but I did not get any feed back from my kid to know if it is worth the price/hassle.

I have a few of the moment lenses (anamorphic/macro/58), and they're great for what they are.

 

They're not going to improve the image quality, but they will give you more options for how you take a photo and what you take it off.  They've even got an option for a filter attachment so you can use polarizing filters/etc.

 

If you're looking for something that gives you extra options, is good quality, and minimal hassle, I'd recommend the moment lenses.  Admittedly I don't use mine much since I prefer to take one of my regular cameras with me, but I still keep them around and use them semi regularly.
