Ken at the beach Posted April 15, 2021 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2021 (edited) Those news stories on CIN are a bunch of filler with nothing substantive to back them up. They run the exact same thing every month and just report on start up based on the last round of cancellations with no regard to what is actually going to happen. grandgeezer Posted April 15, 2021 #9 Share Posted April 15, 2021 Wishful thinking, I checked several of the cruises, from the US, in July and there seems to be plenty of available cabins in almost all categories. Where’s the reduced capacities to allow social distancing and rooms for isolation if they run into a problem? Apparently they don’t want the ships to sail. All the sailings over 7 days until departures on or after November 1, 2021 were pulled from display back when the CDC announced the conditional sailing order where sailing over 7 days were expressly not permitted. They weren't outright canceled unless some other factor came into play that resulted in a cancellation, like a ship relocation for alternate home-ported sailings, for example. Otherwise just the normal rolling cancellation pattern is the likely next step. Edited April 15, 2021 by dswallow
Jimbo Posted April 15, 2021 #12 Share Posted April 15, 2021 I'm not even sure what I'm reading here or what this means since there is 0% chance those sailings are going to sail in July of 2021..............This might be a good forecast for 2022 but right now this thread is worthless! 3
Ken at the beach Posted April 15, 2021 #13 Share Posted April 15, 2021 Hers the link to the filler piece the OP never bothered to quote or give credit for. They run the exact same piece every month. If they run it enough maybe someday parts of it may be correct. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/24773-royal-caribbean-restart-a-concise-ship-by-ship-guide.html 2 1
