Reflection Evacuating US Citizens from St Vincent Tomorrow 4/16

Glad they have  the opportunity to depart...we'd  take advantage of it and  then plan further from St Maarten.. Good job Royal C for sending a rescue ship in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy! Hope all  on board stay healthy.

 

  No US Ports are involved so no CDC!

How many U.S. citizens are in St. Vincent?   It has been a “Do not travel” area even before the volcano erupted.   On the Cruise Industry site, it doesn’t say the evacuation is only for U.S. citizens but they do say everyone boarding the ship has to have had the COVID 19 vaccination(s).    They have also periodically closed the Barbados airport because of the ash in the air, just depends on how the wind is blowing.

It was US, U.K. and Canadian citizens being taken on the Reflection. The ship is taking them to St. Marten

And it may not just be vacationers, but citizens who live there, expats and long termers. 

 

It was US, UK and Canadians??? Why not the Irish!!!! Here we go again with the whole potato thing!!!!!
