I got the same email from my TA. Looks like to me they have raised the starting price on these. Wasn’t it $2,199 for a V?  Now it’s $2,599 which is $50 more than we paid for our DV5. Maybe however I am misremembering  the prices back in early April when these were introduced.

They aren’t on the website yet. I just checked. When I booked this cruise for the 7/3 departure the web site said it was the Jupiter, but that was changed quickly to the Sky. Really makes no difference to me but I’m wondering if they will change these 2 additional cruises to the Sky as well.

They can’t unless they change the existing ones to a different ship. The new ones will be running concurrently with the current ones. Embarkation on July 13th and July 20 for these new ones.

Those of you who received emails ... did you communicate with Viking indicating an interest in the sold out Iceland cruise?  Just wondering how they decided to whom they would send the emails.  Obviously I did not get one! 😕

I think we have the same TA, Clay.

So Dobie - are you going to try that Iceland new cruise then?

Since I didn't get the email, our TA (same as yours) probably figured we wouldn't go since we are doing Bermuda 🙂

I do have a question for the Iceland and Bermuda cruisers.   What are you doing about trip insurance?

I tried to do medical only (Bermuda trip) and the providers have said it is not available due to Bermuda's situation.  Hmmm....      But if I do Comprehensive, then it is available.  But what to put for $amount non-refundable?

No, Kent. We still have my mom's blind dog and if I'm going to Europe I need it to be for more than a week!😁😁

We booked the July 20th Iceland on the Juniper. My TA is on vacation so I started with an online chat then had a Viking Rep from Las Angeles call me. She said that the 2 new cruises would probably post to the website in the next day or 2.  Announcement allows passengers to call in and get the cabin they want.  We booked 6081 and I was able to make dining reservations in the Restaurant.

Now we just have to find somewhat reasonable flights from Sacramento.

Good for you! I think that you can transfer the booking to your TA when they get back so that you get the perks.
