World Cruise Pricing

We're hoping to do a world cruise in the not too distant future.  I was wondering if anyone could give me an approximation of the cost for a neptune.  The HAL site shows it sold out with no pricing.

When did bookings open to the general public?  I thought that the Grand Voyages usually did not open until 18 months before sailing, which is usually sometime in June.  As previously remarked, the Sold Outs might be the result of prior WC cruisers claiming their pre-bookings choice.

WC 2022 opened last year some time...18 or so months ago. Not sure anybody is talking 2023 WC here...THAT would be opening next month, if they are following the 18 month rule. I actually think the world cruise opens up a bit sooner than that...maybe 20-22 months ahead.

The 2023 World cruise has been bookable for a few months. Can’t remember exactly when it opened for sale, but due to the interruption/cancellation of both 2020 & 2021 World Cruises was opened for bookings MUCH earlier than normal. All suites and insides are sold out. Limited ocean views are available. If Neptune’s were bookable you’d be looking at $85-90K per person + tax for the 2023 voyage. There is usually an early payment discount, 5% if memory serves.

IF the 2022 World Cruise happens those onboard will get first crack at the 2024 sailing by putting in placeholder deposits. Final 2024 itinerary would be announced sometime after the 2022 cruise ends, then those with placeholder deposits will be contacted with final pricing and first right of refusal to confirm the sailing. Only then will the full Voyage goon sale to the general public. Usually that happens sometime between late May to Early July.

For the 2023 WC, the early payment discount is 3% - at least for outside cabins.

I created a spreadsheet when the 2023 WC 1st opened for booking. Many of the Vista suites categories were sold out as was all of the Neptune suites. So I wasn't able to get pricing on them. I got pricing from the the big box store website and included their OBC (I believe it is now a gift card). HAL prices are very similar  without the OBC. Other TAs have better pricing. These prices are for 2 people.

Thank you for correcting me.

3% is the amount for early payment on all Grand Voyages. I looked it up after I posted but did not have time to correct my post before the edit time-window closed

The brochure price for a neptune on 2022 was $159, 998 per cabin (SB4)

For 2023 the brochure price is $169, 998 per Neptune (SB4)

SA4 slightly higher

Do Mariner star benefits apply on a WC?

The 5* benefits I asked for were available to me on the segments I took on the 2019 World Cruise. I got the free laundry perq, as well as the free 5* Pinnacle dinners, and the 50% discount on additional Pinnacle dinners. I don't remember asking for the free spa day.

Those are all the perqs I normally ask for.

Yes.   You do get a free spa day in addtion to all the other stuff Ruth mentioned.    One big change is that they will upgrade your perks mid cruise on a Grand Voyage.  Normally you have to wait until your next cruise to enjoy the new perks.

Over 80% of the ship is 4 star or above, so priority tendering has less value than it does on other cruises.

There is no priority tendering unless you are in a suite or above.  Tendering is on a ticket basis first come first serve though in 2020 they did try and give the 4&5 star Mariners some priority over the rest.  On stops like Easter Island or the Falklands people lined up as early as 5:00 am for tickets.

So if a Neptune Suite is $170k, how much is the Pinnacle Suite?  Usually the PS is roughly twice the price of an SA, but I have to think they could charge almost any price they want and the PS would sell on a world cruise.  And for all I know, they have a waiting list a few decades long for people lined up to book the PS (no matter the price).

Does anyone here know?

"Brochure" prices:

2022 Pinnacle - for 2 people - $461,999

2023 Pinnacle - for 2 people - $471,999

Add in Port, fees, gratuties and taxes
