How Do they Pick the Pictures that Come Up on the Right of the Screen

I am trying to word this question w/o getting in trouble w CC.  Does anyone have any idea what algorithm they use to pick the pictures that come up on the right of the CC screen?

It was explained that the most recent posts to Members Albums appear down the side.  With the length of time some stay, it would appear rear there are not so many posts to that forum.  Certainly not good posts.

 

A lot of people, including me, complained about them when they first started appearing.  The bosses think them a good idea and so inflict them on everyone.

Have you noticed that for the past several weeks at least, all the photos are from one individual.
