Yesterday was a busy day. We got up and went to Leonard’s bakery and got some Malasadas. We then went to KCC farmers market. Lots of good food. Then it was a day in the sun. The Princess k will let you have beach chairs for free.

I forgot to take pictures but we ate at a little Japanese place called Pau Hana Base Izakaya

it was a little hole in the wall but the food was really good.

Any snorkeling planned?

What are Malasadas?  I've never heard of them.

The food in Hawaii is delicious....so amazing!

Today’s adventure started with the Aloha stadium swap meet. It’s really just a big flea market but there is cool stuff.

Next stop was the Bishop Museum it is a neat history and science museum

Well, if you leave there hungry, it's your own fault!

That's enough to carry you for most of the day.

I had to stop and think for a minute about the cream for your coffee.  I've never seen it served like that before either.

Thanks so much for posting and sharing your vacation with us!

In the time of Covid, restaurants can't leave things like cream pots or Tabasco bottles on tables, they have to find ways for individual portions.

Kalua pig. The real kine places like Kono's (and Helena's, Young's Fish Market, etc) call it Kalua pig 😄

If you can track them down Penny’s Malasadas are a step above Leonard’s in my opinion, they have a few trucks scattered around the island. Also if you like udon I would highly recommend lunch or dinner at marukame udon, its one of the only reasons I venture into Waikiki. Hope you are enjoying your trip.

Wonder if it's the same Konos that on Maui?

You just made me go down memory lane.

Oh heck, I'm going to have to go dump out my two matches jars to find the ones from Konos.

OK.....Not Kono, it was Kimo's. Found the matches and did some more memory lane walking. Thanks!
