Restart cruises Hawaii 2021

With all the talk about restarting cruises from Florida, I haven’t heard a word about restarting cruises from Honolulu / Pride of America, which cruises  to other Hawaiian Islands - US based ports. Can Cruise Critic shed some light on this typic? What is Hawaii’s stand?

The last time the Governor said anything...several months ago, it implied late this year at the soonest. Many things have changed since then, but I haven't heard any new comments on the topic by the Governor.

The latest I heard is that there is now a vaccine passport program for intra island travel (which gets you out of both the quarantine and testing) but only for those that have received their vaccine in the state of Hawaii. Obviously this isn't very helpful for most of us. 

 

They would like to roll this out to those that have been vaccinated elsewhere but their hesitancy apparently is that the state would like a way to verify that individuals did in fact get their vaccines from out of state which now is difficult to do. Without this cruising isn't happening any time soon.

Princess cruise line has 1st Hawaii cruise out of San Francisco Nov, 7th 2021

Don't know when they start from Los Angeles, probably around that time because

couldn't have longer then 7 day cruises till after Nov. 1st 2021.

Yes, we're on the first Hawaii Princess cruise out of LA on November 5th. 👍
