Quantum of the Seas new requirements

I know that this is a Celebrity board, but there has been majors changes in what RCL will have to do to continue to sail, which might shed some light on what could possibly happen here in the future. Rather than list them, it would be easier to go to their page and read them yourself. They include sailing at 25% capacity and all dining will be through room service and grab and go (takeout). This starts Monday and will last at least a month.

As far as I can tell, this new policy is only for the short cruises to nowhere from Singapore. The OP left out this useful piece of information as well as the current expiration date for this policy.  The policy is not fleetwide and exists in response to a local Singapore regulation.

In one sense, the policy is fleet wide, since Quantum is the only RCL ship currently sailing with paying passengers.

Singapore raised its alert status to "Phase 2 - Heighten Alert", following clusters of infections over the past two weeks... 46 infections in health card areas and airport.

 

The changed regulations on board of Quantum are merely a reaction to changed Singaporean regulations... no need to read more into it or generalize it.
