Rare pierces Posted May 31, 2021 Author #7 Share Posted May 31, 2021 In preparation for Memorial Day, we ordered a new flag for the front yard pole. Last September, we changed brands and ordered a non-nylon, made In America flag that we were hoping would last more than two months in our strong afternoon breezes. After seven months, a corner was starting to fray and the blue was shifting to purple. It was time to retire it and what better time than on the eve of a day where the flag does double duty and not only reminds us that we live in the greatest country on earth, but helps us remember all those who gave their lives to make it so? Pictured here is the slightly faded veteran of California sun and wind that has earned retirement and will be properly disposed of in accordance with 4 USC 8: Respect for flag. God Bless America!
