snorkle lover Posted June 4, 2021 #26 Share Posted June 4, 2021 We also canceled the Med. cruise on September 11,2021 for the same reasons that doowwopbob did. We are now booked for a Caribbean cruise on the Splendor in February and a Spain cruise in October. We are feeling positive that both be going without restrictions, fingers crossed.
snorkle lover Posted June 4, 2021 #27 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Mikenbob, Wow, so you decided to cancel your Splendor trip in September? We canceled prior to final payment because we didn’t want to be on the first ship going. Looking forward to 2022 with two booked cruises on the Splendor.
DeepFreeze63 Posted June 4, 2021 #28 Share Posted June 4, 2021 After 4 cancelled cruises, we've just committed to a February 4th Explorer - Yeah! then have 4 more Regent cruises in 2022. Meanwhile, it's lots of "See the U.S.A." events.
phelios2 Posted June 4, 2021 #29 Share Posted June 4, 2021 The April 5th on the Splendor will be my 5th attempt to have my first cruise with Regent. But Oceania has the lead with 7 cancellations. 1

Then off on the 2022 World Cruise wherever it goes. We cannot wait. I may cry with joy when we get back on board. I think there will be a lot of tears boarding the ships for some time to come! 2
Jimmcdaniel Posted June 4, 2021 #31 Share Posted June 4, 2021 (edited) Ours will be BTB Splendor cruises Istanbul-Athens-Athens starting October 28, 2021. Ours is a replacement for the cancelled Voyager Abu Dhabi - Cape Town voyage. We booked the Splendor as a back-up a while ago and while it wasn’t our first choice we are happy we have it now. Also hoping to get on the November 15 Explorer 24-day Miami-Miami. If we get that one we will probably fly directly from Athens to Miami. BettyDol Posted June 4, 2021 #32 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Sailing 19 day (formally 20 day), BTB Miami to Miami cruise on the Splendor, Dec. 8 to Dec. 27. This is a FCC replacement for an April 2020 Explorer TA. Can't wait!!

No chain of FCC's and cancellations for us, although we did cancel the 2021 WC about a year ago. We have just booked Splendor in June 2022....can't view a Splendor July 3 cruise. ?? We're originally from Montreal, then lived in TO for 18 years so have family and friends we speak with often and hope to be able to visit in both cities. We're basically back to normal on our island, just outside Savannah and the city is packed with tourists again. Had a Splendor cruise last June cancelled two looking forward to the one next June.

bluestocking7 Posted June 4, 2021 #42 Share Posted June 4, 2021 First trip on Regent will be Navigator Complete Caribbean, 30 days starting January 6, 2022, from Miami, assuming ships can sail from Florida by then. I think this is Navigator's first scheduled cruise back.
Hearthosesteeldrumsplayin Posted June 4, 2021 #43 Share Posted June 4, 2021 We are sailing Splendor, TA from Barcelona to Miami in November! This will be our FIRST cruise on RSSC....have been wanting to try for a couple of years! When they offered the 2 cabin upgrade (and all our other cruise lines had cancelled for the past year!) we jumped on it! So happy to try out a new line and, if these boards are any indication, meet some really great people! Here's to our return to cruising! May we all be blessed with fair winds and calm seas (and NO CoVID!)
Portolan Posted June 4, 2021 #44 Share Posted June 4, 2021 Our "Return to Regent" cruise was to be Explorer in Japan next spring...until Regent cancelled this cruise and others last month (we rebooked for the similar cruise in 3/23). So, it'll be a cruise on Splendor next March. Not a particularly great itinerary (Western Caribbean), but at this late date, the choices were slim. At least we'll get to know the new ship.
rkaratsu Posted June 5, 2021 #45 Share Posted June 5, 2021 (edited) After looking over the list of new cruises (everything looked to be either on the Explorer or Voyager), we decided to book the "Rum, Roseau & Relaxation" (who comes up with these names?...) cruise headed in and out of Miami on the Explorer starting Feb 21st. It won't take the place of our cancelled Tokyo to Tokyo cruise but still can't wait to get back out! Edited June 5, 2021 by rkaratsu
markdgriffin Posted June 5, 2021 #46 Share Posted June 5, 2021 June 19 - July 3, 2022 14 Night Venice to Venice on Explorer. We had an Alaska cruise booked on the Mariner in 2020 and, of course, it was cancelled. Last cruise on Regent was May of 2019 Explorer to Spain/Portugal/France/England. After a three year hiatus, we are looking forward to resuming something we enjoy.
Bellaggio Cruisers Posted June 5, 2021 #47 Share Posted June 5, 2021 First return cruise is December 8, 2021, shortened by one day. We booked this before the pandemic. Second, just booked, is Panama Canal on Explorer, January 3, 2022. We were scheduled on the ill-fated Splendor, Panama Canal, March 14, 2020, which was canceled one day before sailing. Hoping to do it this January. 🤞 We have several others booked and will certainly shed a tear when we board ship. sheila

DaveFr Posted June 5, 2021 #49 Share Posted June 5, 2021 We had four cruises canceled by Regent in April and May. For our first cruise back, we booked the December 20 Caribbean and January 3 Panama Canal cruises back-to-back on Explorer. Dave
