Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted July 27, 2021 #51 Share Posted July 27, 2021 Port Valet is available for this cruise - your flight (carrier & flight departure) is what determines whether or not you can take advantage of this amazing free service. There will be additional information on board. Be sure ask at Guest Services on-board. https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free

Old Fart Cruisers Posted July 29, 2021 #53 Share Posted July 29, 2021 I was wondering how many passengers are there on this cruise? Did Carnival limit the capacity for this sailing? Thanks in advance for the information.

As we have mostly cruised out of galveston and san juan, we are interested in knowing how cold it will be on the ship balconies / deck, and sea state encountered on your trip. Right now we are planning on rainproof windbreakers, long sleeve shirts, but not actual coats?? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1_wb8Qwp4CVeWoyNEx3Y0Z5OHc/view?usp=drivesdk&resourcekey=0-Gc0dewyzkeyWk_-hPCKgmw from our July 4th Alaska Cruise 2016

Rare Ferry_Watcher Posted July 29, 2021 #56 Share Posted July 29, 2021 Hey folks, please remember that you still need to show proof of citizenship to cruise from Seattle to Alaska even though the ship will not be stopping in Canada during the 2021 cruise season. Please bring either your passport; or passport card; or state issued birth certificate with driver's license. If you are from MI, MN, NY, VT or WA and have an Enhanced Driver's License that will work as well. Please note that passengers from other states that plan to travel with just their Real ID need to bring along their birth certificate, as your Real ID will not get you on the ship on its own. There have been too many folks arriving for their Alaska cruise without the proper/needed travel ID documents. Please double check your travel ID documents, as well as those in your travel party. You don't want to be turned away from boarding. Please also remember to bring your vaccination card(s), showing both shots unless it's the J&J, and proof your last shot was at least 14 days before the date of your cruise. Happy cruising! I thought Carnival originally said they would be sailing at reduced capacity.
Old Fart Cruisers Posted July 30, 2021 #59 Share Posted July 30, 2021 Did the earthquake yesterday cause rougher that normal seas, or any other issues?

You wouldn’t even notice an earthquake while at sea. A tsunami would only be noticed very close to shore.

relmondcrsise Posted August 5, 2021 #63 Share Posted August 5, 2021 Thank you! I'm hoping the luggage express service will be available. I was counting on it to make a 10:45 flight. Hope someone on the cruise now can let us all know.

Unfortunately your 10:45 am excludes you from using Port Valet (regardless of which cruise line you are on). The earliest flight home for a passenger using Port Valet is just after 11 AM. With your 10:45 am flight, you will have to carry off your own bags as soon as the ship will allow you to debark. You should be able to get one of the early available taxis that are lined up outside the terminal. You should put the FlySea app on your phone so you can reserve a timed spot in the security line: SpotSaver. Hopefully all this pre-planning will help you make that 10:45 am flight!
