green eyed lady Posted May 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2004 To all of you past Miracle cruisers... I have a couple of questions. Is there a basketball net on board? Ping Pong? Is it a hassle to check the equipment out...should we bring our own? (paddles, ping pong balls, basketball?) The tables in the dining room...were they mostly large with several families at them or what? It doesn't matter either way, just wondering. Thanks for the help. momofmeg Posted May 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2004 I remember a basketball court up on deck 10 the deck above the lido. I also saw at least one ping pong table on the lido. I don't know if you check the eqipment out-I don't play either but they always seemed to have someone there playing on them. The dinningroom had tables for 2, booths for 4, and the the big round tables that held like 10 people. There may have been other sizes too but that is all that I noticed. serene56 Posted May 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted May 4, 2004 If you have paddles and balls I would bring your own. Seems ships that have ping pong tables run out of equipment half way through. madelinerose Posted May 4, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 4, 2004 hi momofmeg - do you remember if the tables for 2 were stuck in corners and/or right by the kitchen door(s)? did there seem like there were lots of tables for 2? Thanks!!! Karen
quote:
Originally posted by momofmeg: I remember a basketball court up on deck 10 the deck above the lido. rgalpaugh Posted May 6, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 6, 2004 I liked the Miracle's dining room setup alot. The majority of folks seemed to be sitting with their own group...lots of tables for 2/4. I realize that socializing with others is a high point for many, but it was nice to have the option....and the smaller tables/booths were more to the center of the dining room (at least upstairs where we were). Bon appetite.
dawnp Posted May 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 7, 2004 When you got on the ship, where did you go to sign up for Nick & Nora's? until Century Western Carribean cruise time! Then let the countdown to Carnival Miracle 08/07/04 begin Carnival Fantasy - 02/04 ... one cruise leads to another and another and another... momofmeg Posted May 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted May 7, 2004 We ate lunch at a table for 2. I t was pretty close after you came in the dinningroom not pushed in a corner for privacy. That is really the only one I know about because we were seated there. I tend only to notice what is close by and where I am seated. For dinner we were seated at a booth for 4 people. We ate another meal(breakfast I think) that was also a booth for 4 but that time we had it to ourselves so we sat across from each other.
