boating_buddy Posted June 20, 2021 #1 Share Posted June 20, 2021 Hi, Looking at booking a cruise to FP in Fall 2022 for a milestone birthday. Was comparing PG to Windstar (we love sail boats like Star Clippers and the old Windjammer), and we are leaning towards PG because of the rooms with outside space plus their Dive Program. Would love to work with a travel advisor who specializes in FP and PG. Thanks in advance for any help on the TA or the overall FP cruise front! Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted June 20, 2021 #2 Share Posted June 20, 2021 Cruise Critic rules prevent anyone from recommending (or even hinting at) a travel agency or agency by name. Sorry.
MrRandal Posted June 21, 2021 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2021 With that being said, you are looking at the Paul Gauguin for all of the right reasons. The food, the cabins with verandas, the outside space and although no longer a diver, I understand the dive program is top notch. While I enjoy a sailboat, I love the Paul Gauguin. Or at least I hope to love her again after everything that has happened during this pandemic.

However ... when your trying to find a specialist for French Polynesia I would recommend you ask the following questions. 1. Have you been to French Polynesia? 2. How many times have you been there? 3. When was the last time? FP is a real niche market and having first hand knowledge is very important, the more the better and a recent visit is important as things can change quickly especially after covid. boating_buddy Posted June 21, 2021 Author #5 Share Posted June 21, 2021 Thanks, all. Sorry about not knowing the guidelines, but I can understand why they are put in place. I appreciate your input and guidance on the cruise and in general. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions as the trip takes shape.
