SO QUIET!   Am I the only one that likes to TALK?--Plus I like to

READ what people are Saying or Doing?

When food shopping today so of course ate a little bit more

for dinner then I have been. Will make up for it I hope, so not

to have a gain on Thursday.

Was this weekend hard for any of you in eating?

I actually had a wonderful weekend.  Had two of my kids at my house for the 4th and friends of my son's.  They all cooked.  I only made a caprice salad.  The food was all wonderful and I got a chance to just sit and listen to them all talk.  The baby was here and I finally got to hold him.  He sleeps all the time (except at night).  I see my daughter in him (and his dad).  He is so sweet.

Yesterday we went to downtown Bangor there are many lovely unusual restaurants downtown and we never seem to get there.  Went and sat outside and had lunch and talked.  It had been hot last week 90's and then Saturday-Sunday it got up to about 60 and rainy.  Yesterday it was in the high 70's.  Perfect day.  It was nice having DH home on a Monday.

Yesterday I also met with my trainer in the morning .... love talking with her.  She has been about the only one (except my kids) that I have talked to in the past year and a half ... I don't think I shut up the whole time.  My legs are very sore from the different exercises she has me do.

Today will be going through a pile of junk that seems to have landed on a table in the dining room.  I was going to finally paint my nails, but, some seem to have broken off yesterday.  Today it is rainy again and dreary - if it improves I need to go out and start "dead heading" the roses, rhododendrons,  peonies, lilacs and many other spent flower blossoms.  Did I mention that I have a family of doves living in the front yard flower garden.  Now they don't even more when I stop by to chat with them.

I have been looking at excursions on cruises and have seem some reduction in pricing - love to cancel and then purchase at a lower amount!  Would love to hear from others about their cruises booked and what you all plan on doing.  I have 6 booked, but love to live through others on what they have planned.

Think that is about all for now - Jan

Jan--Sounds like you had a Great Weekend with family and the Baby

and you didn't have to cook a win- win!

Had a good lunch out, bet it was nice sitting out in nice weather just

Husband and you. Plus had a good time with your trainer, sorry if sore.

Sorry your having or had rain today. No you didn't say about the doves

that I know of. How nice their use to you.

I have no excursions planned on any of my cruises yet. A few I think will just

walk around been to the ports many times. I like the Hop off Hop on buses.

My 1st cruise was to Mexico, was just going to stay on the ship and just

enjoy the cruise life again after  leaving the Grand in March 2029 Still will do it.

But then added Hawaii as my 1st cruise. Love Hawaii, will enjoy the ports

but will really enjoy the sea days on the ship too.

Jan thanks for talking and take care.

Jan & Belle (& others reading): my waist is 31.5". That's PHENOMENAL for me. I started at 35"+. I never ever ever thought I would get here

I have 6 booked. 37 days until my flight!!!!! 40 days until 'that' dress. It still zips.

And yes, excursions have dropped in price. Some even less through Princess than on land. For instance the Juneau Tramway is $25 onboard / $45 on site. Others are restricting participants. The zipline has restricted participants even more (10 instead of 15) but no price drop. I'm waiting to see if the Wedgewood tour drops, but I'm booking it anyway.  I was fine with the old prices, I'm gratefully fine with the 10% rebate. Plus cruise prices are dropping ($500 on my TA + 300 OBC) even though the lines are hurting.

We did lunch at the park again. So easy to do birthdays that way. We went on the 5th bc Koda's been having an issue with fireworks and they're going off every night (including 2am this morning). Okay folks --- the 4th is over. Time to cool it.

Ombud--Congrats on inches lost! Know the dress will look good

the way your doing.  Sorry the fireworks bother Koda.  Think the

person who use to shoot them off for days has moved, none

this year or got the message--No fireworks!

Your cruise is close, lucky you. I don't go till Nov.  I have 13 cruises

book between then and July 2022 but have to cancel 4 of them, so

only 9. Some are free why so many. Can you believe the ones I'm cancelling

are some of the free ones. That's life sometimes.

Tell me how you like the Princess ship to Alaska, she was made for

sailing in Japan.  Did they change things for the American market?

Glad the excursion prices have gone down.

Speaking of prices is funny but not, went food shopping, bought stuff

on sale that was higher in price then the regular price a few months ago.

Things are going crazy, everything is costing more no matter what.

So lucky somethings going down in cruising but a lot of things not.

Princess took some perks away from us Elites which were good.

Take care everyone with this Delta virus going around. Be careful.
