Can you chose not to see posts from another member?

I am finding some posts from another member unnecessary.  Often changing the flow of the helpful conversation and going off on their own tangent, is there a setting that would prevent me seeing their posts?

Yes you can and it's easy to do.
Just hover you mouse (curser) over their user name and a popup will appear, then just click "Ignore user", a very useful feature. 

You will however still see post they start.

Thanks again, logged in on my computer and saw exactly what you described, i couldn't see that on my ipad.

If another poster quotes the person you are 'Ignoring', you will see the comment that the 'Ignored' person has made.
