Now that cruising is back and we can discuss the topic we all love, would sure appreciate any info/review about the casino on The Edge.

We are booked later this month...first time Celebrity cruiser here.

Thanks.

I’m also interested in a casino review. Ive sailed mostly on RCCL, haven’t been on Celebrity in years. I’ll be on the 7/10 Edge sailing. I posted a similar request on a thread for that sailing and someone responded that they had a positive experience: newer slots, good drink service. He even mentioned seeing some hand pays. I’m hopeful that Lady Luck will sail with us. I’m not hoping for a hand pay, although that would be nice. I’m just hoping to have my money last for a while before tapping out. The land based casinos have not been kind to me since reopening during the pandemic. I hoping to turn it around on the high seas.

I'm sorry I can't say more but I was on it in Europe a few years ago. The ship is beautiful first of all. The casino was very very small so I didn't spend much time in it at all. limited tables. I played some slots and roulette  and then used the casino bar as i had comped drinks ship wide as well for that cruise. It's decor was great just very small.

Thank you for your response. I guess I’ll find out soon enough. Maybe it’s a good thing that it is on the smaller size. Maybe I’ll save some money! Lol

That's sorta what happened to me. I just got off a HAL ship after 12 days and jumped on the edge. Was on a bender had free drink package and popped in casino played little slots nothing hit. then played roulette another day and lost my shirt so never played much. I had an NCL cruise after and they have decent size casinos so saved some bankroll for that. BUT again lovely ship, I have veranda room and it was awesome.

I’ve been on RCCL ships mostly and the casinos are a nice size especially on the Oasis size ships. Not that it has helped my luck lol, but my bankroll seemed to last longer than on some of the smaller ships. The casino comp offers on RCCL are pretty good, so that is why I sailed with them almost exclusively. But I’ve been eager to experience the Edge. I did sail with Celebrity years ago and liked that it was a more upscale experience and less kids. Nothing against children, just been there done that. I’m hoping that I’m able to stretch my bankroll on edge long enough to earn some comps or casino discounts on future Celebrity cruises. Thanks for your reply and good luck

Just off the Edge today. What do you want to know? Small casino. Low minimums at tables. Never met a casino host. Tried to ask about points told they don't know. All the staff was super friendly and were glad to be working. We are use to NCL were we always get comps at the end. Edge is beautiful ship.

Thanks for the info. I only play slots so I was wondering about the number and variety of games, whether they seem to be paying (at least to keep you playing for a while). From the responses I received it seems that it is on the smaller size which means I won’t spend all my time there which is a good thing. I’m interested in your comments about NCL. I’m diamond on RCCL so I haven’t tried any other lines ( just trying Celebrity now)  but it seems people like NCL, so I might give them a try. I gather you liked their casino better?

I found the slots pretty varied and kept me entertained, I can't recall the specific slots. I thought I might have pictures but I oddly took everywhere on the ship but there.  Slots are so hit and miss regardless of what casino so I don't overthink payouts from one to the next.  The slots typically took all my fun money in the end, sometimes sooner than later.  Also, it might be on the smaller size in comparison of  another but I didn't really find it that small for a cruise casino but maybe I haven't seen ones that have been considered larger?

What I do not see mentioned yet (maybe you already know) is that the casino is non smoking.  This is what I love most about Celebrity!

Thanks for your post. My husband teases me and says I play to lose, because I will play until I’ve depleted my budget, giving back any winnings. But I see the slots as entertainment, and I’m playing to have fun, not to have a big win (although that would be nice). I love that the casino is non smoking. As a reformed smoker I don’t judge anyone that does, I’m just happy not to smell it. 😊

I ALWAYS hoping for a hand pay! (but never expecting it...)

We have hit Vegas 5x since they opened last June. I only had one bad trip--luckily it was just a weekend. Hit Royal or 4-As on each of the other 4. Fewer poker tourneys in Vegas these days so I played A LOT more VP--might explain the increase in those hits.I also managed  to earn more points than ever at both Caesars properties & Venetian. Venetian can sure keep throwing me comps!

DH & I have won 3 poker cruises between the 2 of us  playing poker tourneys.

Sad that isn't an option right now. But I'll take that trade off for low capacity rates.

BTW, NCL Getaway casino SUCKED. There was so much smoke we couldn't even play. 🤑 Luckily the Syd's had the best cover band ever, so we were entertained nightly.
