We are an active couple in our 70's who enjoy nature and outdoors.

The above shore excursion is being offered by our Celebrity ship.  Any comments or reviews?

Thanks!

We are looking to visit the aviary on our own.  Admission is $16 per person, and what I've seen people quote about taxi pricing, we should be able to do it cheaper on our own than paying for 2 through the cruise excursion (we're on Princess, not Celebrity or HAL).  We cruise later this month - I can let you know if it works for us?

My husband and I are 69 and did this tour last month.  It is all walking, very hot and humid, so take water and maybe a towel or wet cloth.  There are a lot of birds, all outside.  There are some impressive birds.  If you're in good shape and don't mind the heat, I say go for it.  There is a little shop near where the ships dock that has some birds and other animals as well.  This one is just much larger.  If Cartagena and the ship will let you do private excursions or ones on your own, I'd do that as it's much cheaper.
